Chapter 1: "You smell like mint"
The morning sun was surprisingly bright. It had been raining the last few days, making it difficult to leave the mansion. The warm sunlight shone softly on the two boys quietly asleep on the disheveled bed. As the morning light grew, one of the boys started to wake.
"Aaahhhhhh '' Chay yawned, stretching his arms above his head. His movement made no effect on the person lying next to him. He sat up rubbing his eyes, still half asleep. He gave another stretch and looked over to see if his boyfriend had woken up.
Of course, Kim had not. Kim could sleep through an earthquake if it meant getting a few more minutes of sleep. Porschay took a moment to look at Kim's sleeping face and smiled to himself. He got up and made his way to the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth. When he returned Chay checked the clock on the nightstand, which read 8:37am.
"It's still pretty early." Porschay thought to himself.
The warm sunlight felt nice against his tanned skin, but instead of getting ready for class, he walked towards the bed and snuggled up against Kim's side. Instinctively Kims arms opened, wrapping himself around Porschay's body. Still half asleep, Kim buried his face in the nook of Chay's neck and inhaled deeply. The two of them stayed that way for a few minutes enjoying the morning quiet.
"You smell like mint," Kim whispered.
"I just brushed my teeth," Chay answered, feeling Kims breath tickle his neck. Kim adjusted his position and opened his eyes. He stared at Porschay's blushing face. No matter how long they had been together, Chay would continuously feel shy around Kim. Kim leaned in, his mouth hovering over Chay's lips, his breath stopping in anticipation. Kim slowly leaned down and kissed his boyfriend good morning, finally fully awake.
"You taste like mint too," Kim whispered seductively. "I like it." He continued, giving Chay a few more kisses on the cheek before sitting up and stretching his well toned arms. His chest and abs exposed to the morning light. Unlike Chay who wore a t-shirt and shorts to bed, Kim only wore a pair of sweatpants, unfazed by his semi-nude state. Kim got out of bed and walked over to the large window in his room, opening the curtains, letting the morning light illuminate the entire bedroom.
He noticed the rain had stopped and the sky was clear and blue. He wasn't the biggest fan of the rain, especially when it rained for days at a time trapping him in the house with his brothers. The mansion was always busy with staff, bodyguards, and his nosy family running around. While Kim had his own condo, it was too far from Chays school making it convenient to stay in the mansion during the week. With the weather cleared up, Kim wanted to spend some alone time with Chay and get the hell out of the house. His brothers were annoying the crap out of him these last few days, making it difficult for him to get any of his work done.
The battle with the minor family had caused a lot of issues within the family and mafia world. Relationships were broken, and lives were destroyed, making the aftermath too stressful for Kims enjoyment. However several months had passed and life was beginning to feel normal again, well, as normal as it could ever be for the Theerapanyakul family. While everyone was still adjusting to the new changes especially within the family structure, daily life had returned to the mundane and boring tasks Kim despised. It wasn't surprising Kim looked out for his own interests, but taking care of Chay became one of the only other important things in his life.
"Chay you wanna skip school today and go on a date with me?" Kim asked, smiling at his cute boyfriend who was still in bed. Chay's body perked up at the question, his face immediately lighting up.
"You're letting me skip school today?" Chay laughed, not believing Kim would actually follow through. While Kim had regularly skipped class due to his busy schedule and lack of interest, he pushed Chay to get an education and to follow his dreams. Kim always made sure to drop him off and pick him up from class as much as possible, but being stuck in the mansion for five days was driving him crazy.
"It's up to you, I can drop you off at school if you want," Kim said with a teasing smile.
"No!" Chay exclaimed. "I want to go with you," he continued, getting out of bed. Kim smiled, seeing Chay's excitement.
"OK, do you want to go out for breakfast or lunch?" Kim asked. It was still pretty early but if Chay wanted to go out for breakfast Kim was happy to oblige.
"It's way too early to go out right now, I'd rather go out for lunch." Chay answered.
"Besides, breakfast is gonna be ready soon here anyway." He continued. The two boys, now fully awake, got dressed, and made the bed together before heading down to the dining room.
Kinn and Porsche were already eating, discussing something about a client who wanted to meet with them. Several bodyguards roamed the dining room while staff continued on their business.
"Porsche, we're going to have to take separate cars later today." Kinn stated. Porsche nodded in agreement taking a bite out of the soft bread he'd added strawberry jam to.
"That's fine," Porsche responded, still chewing on his breakfast. Chay and Kim made their way to the table.
"Morning Kim, morning Chay," Kinn muttered, busy looking at his cellphone. Porsche greeted his brother and nodded in Kims direction, still annoyed about his relationship with Chay. While Porsche didn't dislike Kim, Chay was his baby brother who he raised all by himself. Porsche also knew the Theerapanyakul men were all stubborn and liked things done their way, so he made a mental note to remind Chay not to let Kim have his way all the time. However these past months he'd seen the way Kim treated Chay, taking care of him, protecting him, and even helping him with school.
"Why aren't you dressed for school Chay?" Porsche asked.
"Ummm... I'm skipping today." Chay responded, preparing himself to be scolded. Chay looked over at Kim pleading for help with his eyes, he knew Porsche wouldn't approve of skipping classes.
"I'm taking him out today," Kim stated matter-of-factly, looking Porsche in the eyes. Kims attitude never changed, even knowing how protective Porsche was of Chay, Kim was confident in his relationship with Chay. Porsche rolled his eyes at Kim and just sighed.
"Just make sure you don't fall behind on your school work," he responded. Porsche was too busy to argue over simple matters now. As the leader of the minor family, his days consisted of meetings, phone calls, and more trouble than he ever wanted. Chay was surprised but responded "Mmmm." in agreement.
Kinn grabbed his cellphone and a few documents off the table, finished his coffee, and prepared to get up from the table. As he stood he leaned down to place an affectionate kiss on Porsches lips, his sweet peck deepened igniting a passionate moment between them. Everyone at home was used to their very public displays of affection, in fact most of the bodyguards and staff had already caught Kinn and Porsche being affectionate with each other at least once. Kim shook his head, but continued to ignore his older brother and brother-in-law.
"I'll see you at the office" Porsche responded, ending the kiss.
Kinn walked towards the doorway only stopping to turn and remind Porsche about a meeting they had later in the day. Kim and Chay finished their breakfast and headed back up to Chay's bedroom. Walking up the stairs, Kim grabbed his boyfriend's hand and led him through the large double doors, into the bedroom Chay rarely slept in.
