A/N I know that wss was filming in nyc and nj but for the sake of this, it's filmed in California

I woke up to the loud noises of the New York City streets. Yelling and cars honking and people talking. I felt fine until I remembered what day it was then my heart dropped. Mike was leaving today for West Side Story. Obviously I'm very, very proud of him for getting a major role, Riff, in west side. I reached my arm to the other side of the bed and felt nothing except a faint warmth.

I groaned but pulled myself up and out of bed. I walked into the kitchen running my fingers through my hair and saw Mike making the both of us some coffee. He put a little bit of creamer and sugar in mine and none in his! He likes his coffee black, which astounds me. I walked up and sat at the kitchen island staring at my husband.

"Good morning, sleeping beauty." He handed me a mug and leaned on the counter behind him

"Mornin'." I took a sip of my coffee. Perfect.

"I leave around noon." He looked down into his mug

"Oh. Are you all packed?" I looked at the clock. 10:42.

"Yeah, I think so."

We finished our coffee and set our mugs in the dishwasher. I ran to the bedroom to get ready for the day. Luckily, I only had a show at 7:00 today. I'm playing Regina George in Mean Girls the musical! This role is iconic and I'm so happy to be playing Regina. I threw on some baggy jeans and one of mike's shirts he was leaving behind. I threw my hair into two ponytails hanging over my shoulders and left the room. Mike had brought his luggage out to the front door and he was sat on the couch scrolling through Twitter.

I came up and sat with him. He moved his arm up and around me. He pulled me into his side. We sat like that until the clock struck twelve. Mike got up and I followed him to the door. I pulled him into a tight hug. Tears pricked the corners of my eyes but before they could fall, I could hear Mike sniffling lightly. He kissed the top of my head softly.

"I love you so much, Jocelyn. I'm going to miss you." He pulled away but kept a tight hold of my shoulders,

"I know, Mikey. I'll see you in September?" I laughed as he wiped the stray tears off my cheeks

"I'll see you in September." He said before pulling me into a soft kiss

He slipped his shoes on and opened the door to the apartment.

"I love you."

"I love you too." Then he left

I tried to stay strong once he was here but now he's gone I broke out into sobs. Is this what he felt like when I left. This is hard and it hurts. I don't know if I'll see him before September when filming ends.
