2016 - Gentleman Friend

The next morning Cara woke up with her arms wrapped around Wade Wilson, who was curled up into a little ball. He took up as little space as he possibly could in the largest bed he'd ever slept in. Cara released him and looked at her phone, she had a few texts from Steve; mostly of him checking in on her.

The door slowly creaked open and Cara placed her hand on Wade, making him disappear as the jet did just a day before. She had no idea it would work on a human being though. Bucky walked in and sat on the bed, "Morning. How was your day yesterday?"

"Pretty," Cara hesitated, refusing to look him in the eye, "Pretty low-key."

"You're lying, Caroline," Bucky said.

"Pfft, what?" Cara replied, "No I'm not!" Bucky gave her a look and she knew he didn't believe her, "Fine, I had a really fun day. Also, I found a way to get drunk."

"Oh my god," Bucky said, sitting next to her on the bed, "How? Tell me this instant."

"Why don't I just show you," Cara placed her hand on his abdomen, around where his liver would be. Bucky flinched and Cara pulled it away, "Do you trust me?"

He hesitated, "Of course I do." Cara put her hand back and pressed her magic into his liver, "What the hell? That is such a weird feeling." Cara laughed, pulling her hand away, "That's it?" Cara nodded, "So now I can get drunk?"

"Pretty much," Cara replied, looking over at the purple essence that was a sleeping Wade. Cara knew that only she could see him.

"Good," Tony said from the doorframe, "Because I'm throwing a party tonight and I need you two to be more fun than last time."

"Anthony Stark you son of a bitch," Cara said, jumping from her bed to give him a hug, "What's the dress code?"

"I can handle that," Thor said, standing right behind him, "This is my goodbye party after all." Cara smiled and hugged him too.

Cara turned back to Tony, "Any chance I could bring a friend? He's really cool."

"Please tell me you didn't get a boyfriend, I told my buddy about you," Tony said, "He's got a thing for brunettes."

"Not a boyfriend, he's engaged," Cara said, "And would you please stop trying to matchmake me Anthony!"

"Never!" Tony laughed, "Tell your friend it's suit attire." He began walking down the hall, "Suit attire, James!" He yelled from the hallway.

Bucky pressed his lips together and rolled his eyes at the thought of actually dressing up. Cara walked up to Bucky and smiled, "Alright, get out." Bucky pouted, "I have to shower."

"Alone?" He replied with a smirk.

"Out," Cara said, Bucky rolled his eyes and slowly dragged his feet out of her room.

Wade was wide awake and sitting up on the bed. Cara brushed her hand through the air as she telekinetically closed her door and locked it. She then waved it over Wade and made him reappear. He stretched his arms as far up as possible and made a noise as he did it.

"He's alright looking," Wade said, Cara rolled her eyes and grabbed an outfit, "I just mean, you're way out of his league. That's all!" Cara turned the TV on and Wade started watching a show as Cara showered.

Once Cara got out, she looked in her closet for any cocktail dress she could find, "Any chance you have a suit?" She asked Wade, who was dialed into a show called "Jersey Shore," he hesitantly looked over at Cara. He shook his head with his lips closed tight, "I'll ask Tony if you can borrow one, I'm pretty sure he has an entire closet filled with suits."
