Morning had come, and the sky was filled with charcoal clouds followed by the sound of rain hitting the ground. Many people had their umbrellas out, whilst others wore raincoats. The petrichor filling the air felt comforting somehow. Todoroki takes in the scent, then keeps walking toward the school up ahead. The sound of rain, children's laughter, and the splashing of puddles gave Todoroki a sense of tranquility.

"Hey! Todoroki wait up!"

Todoroki paused, turning his head to see his classmate Hanta Sero. The boy seemed out of breath by the time he caught up to Todoroki, but he only smiled. "Sorry, I hate walking to school alone. Do you mind if I walk with you today? I was supposed to walk with Shoji but he's pretty ill and decided to stay at the dorms." Todoroki seemed lost in thought before nodding. "Sure." Sero was relieved to hear that and started walking next to Todoroki. They had small talk before reaching their classroom where some of their classmates were already seated. "Yo, Sero! Come on over bro!" Todoroki turned his gaze to Kirishima, then back at Sero. "You got it Kiri-bro!" Sero paused for a moment and looked at Todoroki one last time. "Let's walk to school together again sometime, okay?" He gave off his signature triangular smile and walked off.

Badump.

What was that? Todoroki gripped his shirt softly, unaware of this feeling. He snapped out of it when he heard Midoriya calling his name though. "Todoroki!" He whipped his head around instantly, meeting eyes with Midoriya. "Ah, sorry. Were you calling me?" Midoriya chuckled softly, placing his bag by his desk. "Yeah, I kinda noticed you were a little off since I walked in. Is there something bothering you?" Suddenly, Todoroki felt the same feeling as before.

Badump.

"Todoroki? Are you okay?" Midoriya waved his hand in front of his friend's face, then sighed. "Not again..." Midoriya smiled in defeat, knowing Todoroki was too lost in his own thoughts to tell him anything. The door slid open, and Mr. Aizawa walked in, asking everybody to take their seats. Class began, but Todoroki couldn't stop thinking of that feeling from before. Maybe he just appreciated Sero's friendship, his energetic personality, or his beautiful smile.

Wait what.

Todoroki shook his head at the thought. He barely even talks to Sero, falling in love with him would be absurd...though it wasn't impossible. He felt a tap on his shoulder and looked to his left. Yaoyorozu pointed toward the front of the room where there was an angry Aizawa. She spoke quietly, "Mr. Aizawa has been trying to get your attention for a while now..." Todoroki felt all eyes on him, but answered the question on the board, apologizing for spacing out after. He turned back to Yaoyorozu also apologizing. She sighed and gave him a look of question. "I'm not the type to talk during class, but you seem off today. It's not like you to be distracted during class." She looked concerned, worried about her friend. Todoroki thought about it for a moment, then looked Yaoyorozu in the eyes, his face dead serious. "I think I've fallen in love. Though I'm not too sure about it yet." Yaoyorozu dropped her jaw in surprise. "Really?!" She paused; quickly, and realized they were still in class though, so she sat back down after apologizing for nearly jumping out of her seat. "May I ask who it is?" She felt the need to ask first before jumping to conclusions. "I said I wasn't sure if I like this person. I think I need to get closer to them if I want to know for sure." Todoroki clenched onto his pencil a little, he was nervous to tell his friend this information, but he knew Yaoyorozu was trustworthy.

"It's Sero." Todoroki took until the end of class to say those two words. Mr. Aizawa had dismissed class and other students were leaving to grab lunch. "Sero huh? Was it really that hard to tell me?" Yaoyorozu gave a genuine smile. "Yes." Todoroki whispered, shaking from the anxiousness he felt. She giggled at this, then patted Todoroki on the back. "If you really want to get closer to Sero I think I may have something we can try. Just leave it to me! Okay?" She had her hands on her hips, her face showing confidence. Todoroki nodded, trusting Yaoyorozu. "Okay, but if it's embarrassing, I'm doing no such thing..." He muttered nervously. Yaoyorozu clasped her hands together in excitement. "You got it!" Todoroki watched as his friend walked off with extreme joy. He sighed, resting his head on his arms for a moment.
