-Settling In As Metkayina-

***GUYS THIS IS MY FIRST EVER STORY SO ITS PROBABLY BAD I APOLOGISE I TRIED MY BEST (word count 1460)***

After days in the air flying through different weathers you ride down with your family tiredly on your Ikran you are met with the Na'vi people of Metkayina clan. You all hop off your ikrans showing your hands displaying no threat. You see your father Jake sully bow his head bringing forth his finger to his forehead and dragging it to the tall Olo'eyktan of the clan Tonowari, saying "I see you." Which he receives one back. You do the same in respect before you see the boys Rotox and Anoung looking at you but make fun of your brothers before you see a pretty girl come out of the water flicking her hair walking over and telling them to stop. She looks at you and smiles covering her mouth. As she does your older brothers Neteyam and Lo'ak notice and smile at you.

As you stand on the shores of Awa'altu Your mother holds tuk close to her side as you stick close to Kiri, covering yourself with your arms standing tall. As the oldest daughter of Jake and Neytiri it is only fair to comfort your younger siblings. You space out while they talk only hearing your father speak.

"We seek Uturu, a sanctuary for my family".

You don't pay anymore mind to it as you look at Lo'ak and Neteyam to make sure they're behaving. You see Ronal walk around inspecting all of you she grabs your mothers tails and explain how unfit your family's body's are for Awa'altu and then she gets to kiri looking at her hands showing her fingers saying in a stern tone,

"These children are not even real Na'vi."

You grab Kiris hands away from hers holding her to comfort your sister, Ronal quickly moves on to Lo'ak putting his hand in the air to show the Metkayina people..

"They have demon blood!"

You see Jake put his hand up showing the Tsahìk how he has 4 fingers as well and was once a sky demon going on about saying how we can change and adapt to their ways. You then hear your mother and Ronal hissing, you look at your mother as they hiss and argue before Jake apologises for your mothers behaviour. You hear her try and protest only to get shut down and hiss quietly annoyed. You stand near your mother as you hold her shoulder in order to calm her and shoot sharp daggers at your father but sigh you dare not to speak against your father as you just stand tall again gaining Ronals attention but she looks away and exchanges looks with Tonowari as if they have their own language. They agree to let your family stay as long as they live like Metkayinas.

"Toruk makto and his family will stay with us, Treat them as our brothers and sisters, they do not know the seas so they will be like babies taking their first breath. Teach them our ways so they do not suffer the shame of being useless." Thus you hear from Tonowari the chief as he looks at your family.

You notice he says his children will teach your siblings and his son Anoung tries to protest but stops immediately after his father demands it. His daughter Tsireya on the other hand is excited, your family follows her through the people showing you all the way to your new home. As you past Ronal you glance her way with siren eyes looking at her quietly noticing she looks back at you curiously. You shake your head ignoring her piercing gaze. As you arrive your father calls for a family meeting about 'sullys stick together'.. shortly after the family discussion your father speaks to you.

"Y/n you have to keep an eye on your siblings since you are the oldest daughter of mine. Just because Lo'ak and Neteyam are older does not mean they can do whatever they want, and I need to trust you to to not let them cause any more trouble. We are not in the forest of pandora, we are in the reefs. Understand?" He speaks in an orderly voice.

To which you nod your head and reply "Yes sir..."

Your siblings dive in the water with Tsireya Rotox and Anoung. You watch them dive. You don't waste your time getting in the water feeling distant to your siblings but keep watching them from afar staying with your father who spends time with the warriors mounts, you see your father make a bond with one of them Tonowari warning him and asking if he is sure

Tonowari speaks up saying something along the lines, "This is a warrior mount not easy to master perhaps you should start with a ilu.."

*you listen seeing this play out as your father insists.*
"Na, this one. I got this."

He says sounding confident saying how he's got it. He goes soaring off too fast for a few seconds but then ends up steadying it getting ready and dives into the water but then loses his grip from the speed of the warrior in the water cutting his hand from the band he used to try and hold on for better grip. You hiss at the sight and look at the crowd of Metkayina looking at him hissing as well and some laughing at the sight and now it's your turn your father stands behind you and speaks in a bit of pain

"Y/n you don't have to do this maybe try with an Ilu.."

You look at him as you shake your head confidently. You sassily say mocking him in a playful tone.

"Na.. I got this. As your oldest daughter I must show you how to do it no?"

You laugh softly as you mock him playfully then make the bond as you become more serious and focus on the chiefs advice and nod listening.. you take a deep breath getting ready holding on tightly, as the men let go of the warrior, you go soaring in the water as the beast lifts off the water slowly and high before you take a breath and dive with it steadily holding on tight not loosing your grip. As you steady it again and lift up out of the water flying with ease hearing a cheer from your younger siblings and father as you start smiling feeling your braids flow through the breeze as you go back to your father.

"Well I did okay huh?" You speak in a soft and confident tone sitting on your warrior.

You hear your father laugh "Don't lie you did more than okay you seem to already act like a true na'vi warrior!"

Tonowari pats your back laughing as he looks at your father jokingly saying in a nice manner
"You are sure your daughter was not the real warrior of Toruk makto?" Tonowari jokes around.

You smile softly hearing your father and tonowari talk lightheartedly to each other as you get off your Warrior and swim to the shore making eye contact with Tsireya you approach the group in a circle trying to practice on their breathing

"You did well Y/n you managed to bond with a warrior? That is hard." Tsireya speaks up excitedly looking at you smiling

"Thank you Tsireya how are my siblings doing?" She just gestures to them as they're getting tired.. to which you smile.

You say softly making small talk as you look at them and see tuk move and sit in your lap feeling exhausted.

"Tired from all that swimming Tuk tuk?" You coo quietly as you hug her to your chest.- Tuk just responds by snuggling her face into your neck as she falls asleep fast listening to Tsireya say her repeated words.

"Breathe in.. breathe out." She has a calm tone when speaking.

You stand up feeling the flick of your tail and your long hair flows in the soft breeze as you carry tuk patting her back gently as she sleeps in your arms you nod your head in goodbye quietly speaking in a soft tone

"I'm taking tuk home to sleep. Good luck with breathing practice." You smile softly walking away swaying your hips as you walk, Tsireya can't help but stare dumbfounded as she inspects you close looking at your hips and then looks away quickly to find Rotox and Anoung still staring like they're hypnotised. She slaps their arms to tell them to stop looking as they hold their arms after she hit them.. but she glances back your way one more time before going back to teaching your other siblings..
