Hale's POV
Few hours before her birthday

I was lying on my stomach on my bed with Nathaniel, we were talking about his favorite ex. He had this anger for her I couldn't explain but it was the type that meant he was not over her. Apparently she was very good,she was everything and anything a boyfriend could ask for.
I stared at him as he explained how she broke it off with him all of a sudden,no reasons given so he suspected there to be another guy and truly there was. That's why there's so much resentment towards her but he pretended to be civil with her.

I looked behind him to see Rachael,Kaiser,Kaleb and Martha playing cards.
"How come you have never dated before? I mean you're too pretty to have not caught the eyes of boys." I shrugged a small smile played on my lips. I myself wander. I mean even though my parents were against the idea of dating I could have still done it undercover but I just didn't know why I didn't date.
Every guy I was attracted to was attracted to me back but not any single one of them asked me out.
I checked the time on my phone.
"Few hours more to my birthday."

"Your birthday is tomorrow?" He asked and I faked a gasp.

"You didn't know that?" He moved a strand of my hair that had fallen infront of my face behind my ear and stared intently into my eyes. My heart skipped a beat. He was cute and I was crushing hard.

Kaleb and Kaiser had left, said something about going to visit a friend, at this hour that friend is most definitely a lady friend.

Martha tapped my shoulder for my attention. She pointed at Rachael who seemed to be on the phone with someone.

"You'll get the iPhone X for me?" Rachael asked whomever she was on the phone with. I looked over to Mat?

"Who's that?" I mouthed

"Roland."

Nathaniel placed his fingers underneath my chin and turned my face to him. I blocked them out and focused on him.

"Mm?" I raised one brow at him and shook he his head nothing, we were having a staring contest but I was too shy so I looked away.

It was 12:00,6 March, my birthday. I stood at the foot of my bed, I had my hand in Nathaniel's as Rachael and Mat sang the happy birthday song for me while I was moving to the song.

They all came in to hug me, I let go of Nathaniel's hand to hug them. I stood there smiling sheepishly at Nathaniel.

"How does it feel to be nineteen?" He asked and I shrugged

"Normal?" And we laughed. May and Rachael run towards as with water in their hands. It all happened so fast, Nathaniel was in front of me to receive the water that was thrown at me.

"Ohhh." Mat and Rachael exclaimed as they wiggled the eyebrows teasingly at us and I gave them a soft glare.

"Gosh, I'm sorry." I said to him

"Happy birthday." He wished me

"I'll take my leave now." I walked with him to the door.

"Good night."

"Good night." His soft lips connected with my cheeks. I shut the door only to hear kissing sounds behind me. I turned to find Rachael, I pushed her face away gently and we chuckled. Rachael grabbed at my hand as she lead us to my bed and me sit on it. Mat opened the fridge and brought out a cake, so this was why I wasn't allowed into the fridge. She presented the cake to me and Spicy Pisces was embedded on it making me chuckle.
