//Alexa's POV//

It had been a week since I had spoken with Antonio. It had been hard to keep contact with Antonio because Miranda was keeping a closer eye on me. Only time I could call Antonio was when I went to Fernando's house.

Today was the last day before winter break.

"Kendra honey!" Miranda shouted. I buttoned up my Cardigan and walked out into the kitchen.

"I'm going on a business trip for two days, I'll be leaving tomorrow" Miranda stated," will you be okay?" She asked and took a sip of her coffee. "Yes" I said. "I'll call you every hour just to make sure you're okay" Miranda said. "Okay" I said. "Let's go I'll take you to school" Miranda said and we walked out.

"Have a great day honey" Miranda said and kissed my cheek. "Bye mom" I said and walked out.

"I have an idea" I told Fernando during the break. "What is it?" Fernando asked. "I'm going to runaway" I said. "What?" Fernando asked. "I'm going to runaway" I repeated," to Chicago" I said. "Are you insane?" Fernando asked. "Kind of" I said. "I've noticed that" Fernando smirked. "So what are you gonna help me?" I asked. "Yeah" Fernando said. "Miranda is leaving for business trip, that's when I'm going to leave. I want you to call Antonio and tell them I'm leaving for Chicago. That they should meet me at the airport. I'll call them when I get a payphone" I explained to Fernando. "Got it" Fernand said. "Tomorrow come to my house at ten, exactly ten. Miranda is leaving at six am" I said. "Got it" Fernando said. "I'll see you tomorrow" I said as the bell rang.

The next morning I woke up to the sound of Miranda's car leaving.

I quickly got up and took a shower. I changed into a black oversized skeleton jumper with a pair of black leggings with grey Bailey bow uggs. I dried my hair and slid on a maroon coloured beanie. I grabbed a black duffle bag and stuffed a few clothes inside. I grabbed my phone and walked out into the living room. I checked the time and saw that it was 8:59

A couple seconds later I heard the doorbell.

"Get in" I said and grabbed Fernando by his shirt and dragged him in. "What's the plan?" Fernando asked. "Well you're going to drive me to the bus station and then I'm off to a terminal to catch a plane" I explained. "All by yourself?" Fernando asked. "Yes" I said. "That's dangerous" Fernando said. "I can manage" I said. "No I'll come with you, then when we get to Chicago I'll come back" Fernando said. "What about your mom?" I asked," she's gonna start asking questions" I stated. "I'll make something up" Fernando said. "Thank you" I said. "You're welcome" Fernando said and hugged me. "C'mon let's go" I said and we walked out towards Fernando's house so he could pick up some clothes.

After he had his clothes we hailed a taxi and drove off to the terminal.

Once we arrived Fernando went to get some food while I walked to the payphone. I placed in the money and dialed the station's number.

"Chicago Police Department Officer Burgess speaking"

"Kim, its me Alexa, could you out Antonio on the line?"

"He went on an operation with Voigt, Erin and Jay"

"Okay, I'm going to leave him a message"

"Alright go on"

"Tell him I'm running away to the States, I'm boarding a train to the main city then I'm getting on a plane to London, then I'm getting on a plane to New York and finally Chicago"

"Why so many flights?"

"So she can't track me"

"Who?"

"Miranda Loss, shes the one who's acting as my mom"

"Okay, Ill tell Antonio"

"Thank you"

"Alexa please be careful"

"I will, ill call again when I'm in London"

"We'll be waiting"

"Bye Kim"

"Bye Alexa"

I hung up and walked towards Fernando who was waiting on a bench. "Let's go" I said and we boarded the bus.
