 It was a calm and beautiful day in Fiore. Especially for the Akatsuki household. Sherry was home, doing a quick clean up before her family's return home.

"Mommy!" A little girl burst into the house.

The little girl had bouncy, dark pink hair pulled into two high pigtails. Her skin was dark like her fathers but she had her mother's sapphire eyes. She was dressed in an adorable blue and yellow dress with little matching shoes. Her bright eyes were sparkled with excitement as she spotted her mom at the sink.

"Yes? What is it, Aimi?" Sherry questioned her daughter.

She ran up to Sherry, bouncing on her heels in excitement.

"I just heard the cutest story about how uncle Hibiki proposed to auntie Jenny. Will you tell me how daddy proposed to you? Will you, will you, will you?" Aimi asked excitedly.

"Sure thing, sweetie." Sherry smiled.

She put the last few dishes away and went over to sit on the couch. Aimi followed quickly after her mom, eager to hear the story. They settled down together on the sofa, curled up together.

"Get cozy, because this is quite the story." Sherry grinned.

Aimi pulled the blanket tighter and up over her head until only her face and bangs were showing.

"All cozy!" Aimi promised.

"Okay then. It all started years ago. About the time Fairy Tail came back together. For the second time." Sherry recalled.

Aimi scrunched up her nose as she tried to remember the stories involving Fairy Tail.

The front door suddenly opened, and in walked Ren with a few bags in his hands. Sherry and Aimi turned around to smile at him.

"Welcome home, love." Sherry greeted.

"Welcome home daddy!" Aimi added.

Ren smiled sweetly at the two as set the bags on the counter.

"Hey. What are my favorite ladies doing?" Ren asked.

"Mommy was just about to telling me how you proposed." Aimi answered happily.

Ren flinched at the mention of that particular event. It was by far, one of the biggest disasters he had even been apart of. Yet, he couldn't be too disappointed with the memory, because he got a beautiful wife and amazing daughter out of it.

"Do you really have to tell her that?" Ren groaned.

"Yes. Now come over here and join us. I was just about to start." Sherry replied.

She patted the spot on the other side of her, and Ren reluctantly took the seat. He slouched back in his spot, silently dreading the story that was about to be shared with his little princess.

"So, as I was saying," Sherry continued.

Flashback

Ren paced back and forth repeatedly as his two teammates watched him go. At first, they tried to say something, ask him what he was planning, but he would shush them each time. Even when they merely opened their mouths. So, they gave up, assuming he would talk when he was ready.

It got to a point where he would pause every now and then, appearing to have a bright idea, but would shake his head and go back to pacing again.

"How long has he been pacing?" Eve asked.
