The day I found True Love / Lukanette

Chapter 1

Marinette was heading to class, humming a sweet jingle. It wasn't just any jingle, it was a melody a young boy Luka Couffaine made for her. He said that the melody is who she is. It was a beautiful melody. It was first peaceful and cheery, just like Marinette was in school. and it slowly went into a more uplifting tone, reminding her of her heroic life as ladybug, and finally for the grande finally it went extremely quiet... She still didn't know what that meant, but at the end it resumed being peaceful and it felt more... in love? He was a strange boy, and she found it even more strange how he has an ability to find a tune in everyone. Her mind fixated on the song, she walks in the class, hearing Ms. Bustier's sweet voice.

"Hello Marinette, you're right on time! I have a surprise for all of you!" Ms. Bustier exclaimed.

As Marinette seated, Alya turned around and looked at Marinette with a smile on her face. 

"Hey Alya, what's up? You look happy" Marinette says. 

"You're damn right I'm happy! Nino asked me out for prom!" Alya squeals. She tried to hide her whisper but it was quite loud, so Nino turned around. 

"Alya, why you gotta tell everyone?" Nino hushed. 

"Why? Are you embarrassed to ask me out?" Alya questions, anger rising in her voice.

Nino got the hint of her anger and quickly explained himself.

"I- No! Not at all! It's just- er- there's literally 3 weeks until prom. Doesn't it seem too early to tell everyone?" He says. 

"Alright I see your point, but Marinette isn't everyone, shes my best friend!  You think I won't tell her this stuff right away?" She argues.

"Fine! Fine, I back off." He raises his arms up in the air and turns around. Thinking that Alya wouldn't hear, he then mutters "There's no way to win an argument with you.." getting a chuckle from Adrien.

"WHAT'S THAT??" Alya yelled. Nino yelped and slowly turned around. "Uhhhhh n-nothing Alya!" And right when Alya was about to beat Nino up, Ms. Bustier comes, saving Nino from his girlfriends wrath. (She didn't save her from the dirty looks Alya was giving Nino throughout the class.)

"So class, I'm pretty sure you've all heard that I have good news for you." She pauses, and the class nods. "Well, the news is that our classmate Lila Rossi has finally come back from her trip to Saudi Arabia to meet the prince there!" 

Marinettes face dropped. An uneasy feeling in her stomach gurgles and she had a visible frown on her face. The rest of the class hoots and cheers, talking about how fun it would be to be a full class again and hearing Lila's "adventures". Marinette knew better than to call them adventures. She liked to call them all lies. 

It seemed like Adrien, although visibly had a smile on his face, also had that uneasy feeling. He  knew Lila lied about a few things, but she did promise him she's going to get better and stop. "Let's hope so.." Adrien thought. 

Suddenly, footsteps could be heard from outside the classroom and Lila's annoying and obnoxious voice says, "Hello friends!!" as she slowly enters the class.

"Hey Lila!" The class replied. All Marinette did was roll her eyes.

"Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous." Chloe murmurs. All attention then turned towards Chloe. "WHAT? What are you all looking at? Oh right, of course. You guys are all little pawns obsessed with this pig named Lila. You believe everything she says, it's obvious she's fishing for attention!" Chloe exclaims in a frustrated manner. 

Sabrina pats her on the back and Chloe gazes into the window. 

"Glad to know atleast someone's on my side.." Marinette thought.

Ms. Bustier then breaks the silence and says, "Chloe, would you like to be sent back home?" 

"Yes please!" Chloe nods. 

"What I mean is suspension." Ms Bustier sighs. 

"That's it! I'm calling daddy!" Chloe says, pulling up her phone.

"Chloe- there's no need for that!" Ms. Bustier says. Chloe was already dialing the number.

"Alright, fine, no suspension, just sit back on your seat." This was the 2nd time Ms. Bustier sighed.

Chloe then nods in approval, with a MHM! noise. 

Lila quickly averts the attention back to herself.

"C-Chloe... I-I know we didn't have a good s-start but no need to be rude. W-why are you calling me a pig when all you are is a bratty Daddy's girl!" Although Lila's voice was shaky and "sad", she had a sly smile plastered on her face. 

The whole class erupted in laughter at Lila's comeback, all agreeing with her. It was no surprise that the class disliked Chloe for her attitude and rudeness, but Lila was way worse and nobody realized it. 

Chloe looked away, her eyes teary and her face red from embarrassment. 

Adrien saw and looked concerned. He didn't do anything though.

But Marinette did. She hated Chloe ever since they were kids, but she would pick Chloe over Lila any day.

"Oh is that so Lila? Well, at least Chloe has a personality. Your personality is all lies! You don't have one. And even if everyone else thinks you do, it's a fake one!" Marinette yells.

The entire class stares at Marinette. Marinette realized what she had done and slowly went back to her seat, blushing from all the sudden attention she got. Alya looked at her and her brows furrowed. Alya whispered, "Girl I know you don't like Lila, but your seriously on Chloe's side?"

Marinette couldn't believe it! Alya seriously just doesn't get it. Mari gives Alya a death glare telling Alya to shut up, and Alya does so. But before she does, Alya returns a look to Marinette which meant, "we are going to talk about this later." 

After Marinette's sudden outburst, Chloe looks at Marinette with a smirk. Marinette smiles back.

All of a sudden Lila falls on the floor and starts sobbing.

The whole class looks down and gets up from their seats to see what's happening.

"LILA!" "Lila what's wrong?" "Lila are you OK?" "Lila!" The whole class tried to help her. Alya grabs Lila's hands and pulls her back up.

"I- I'm sorry guys! My doctor told me that when I feel pangs of sadness or depression in me, it causes me to faint! I- I can't help my diseases... I think I need to go to the hospital." 

The whole class had a worried look, all fussing over Lila. and to make things even worse, Lila had to say one last thing to remind the class that this was all Marinette's doing.

"Also, M-Marinette... I just wanted to say that I forgive you for this all, and you don't need to worry about it.." Lila says with her fake tears coming out.

"CLASS GET BACK TO YOUR SEATS I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!" Ms. Bustier's voice boomed. The whole class scurried back to their seats, but not before they turn their heads to Marinette's direction and give her death glares. Even Adrien and Alya.. 

"Lila. I'll call an ambulance for you dear." Ms. Bustier says.

After around 5-10 minutes the ambulance arrives, and Lila leaves.

Marinette knew what was going to happen. The class would all confront her and possibly Chloe, and although she was frightened for their confrontation, she couldn't help but heave a sigh of relieve once Lila left.
