One night when Archie had his head on his pillow, his ginger hair in his face, and a blanket over his body he got a call. He thought his phone, was silenced, but it turned out it wasn't. He checked who was calling, and when he saw it was Veronica he immediately jumped up and answered her call. Her voice sounded sleepy, but he could still hear the sadness in her voice.
"Hey Ronnie, is everything okay? Do you want me to come over or something?" He asked softly, sitting up in bed. He held his blanket over his chest, because he was shirtless when he decided to go to bed. "I mean, I guess.. I'm just kinda upset right now." She said softly, her sniffle quiet, but definitely noticeable. "Veronica, I think you need me right now.. I'll come over, okay?" He said, already turning his lights on and stumbling to his closet.
When she didn't respond, he decided to just hang up the call. He was dressed as he ran out to his car, putting the keys in and driving to her house. When he got there, he immediately ran up to the opening and ran up to her home. He already had spare keys he gave her, so he unlocked the door and ran in. He immediately made his way to her room.
He saw her curled up in bed, and he immediately got into the bed and held her close. "Hey, Ronnie.. what happened?" He asked, slightly frowning. Veronica just looked up at him, her eyes puffy and her nose runny. He wiped away her tears, placing his hand on the back of her neck. "Ronnie, if something's wrong I need you to tell me."
"No, I don't want to." She said sleepily, resting her head onto his chest. "Alright, you wanna sleep and talk about it in the morning?" He asked. She nodded at him, laying back down on her pillow. This made Archie smile as he rested his head on one of the pillows, putting an arm on her back. He held her until she fell asleep, and then he finally was able to fall asleep, knowing she was alright.
