Chapter 10 - The trip

It's six thirty a.m. Sun rays peeked through the ivory curtains in the room shining on y/n's face. She wakes up hearing her alarm with excitement very much evident in her eyes. Why you ask? they are going on a school trip, and she is very much thrilled because she is looking forward to spending a lot of time with Taehyung. He has been giving many signs which are quite evident he likes her back too. She isn't entirely sure that they are actually "signs", but she is at least a little happy that they both are getting along and closer better than ever. Little do they both know that there is a storm brewing in the ocean ready to topple their boat.

The friend group decided that everyone will gather at y/n's house and move from there as her house is the closest to the school. She gets ready quickly and goes downstairs to the living room hauling her luggage down the stairs. She leaves her bags near the couch and goes to the kitchen where she finds her mom and Yoongi already preparing breakfast for all of them. She walks straight to her mom and hugs her and says, "Good morning, eomma! Good morning, Yoongi ah~!" Her mom and Yoongi wish her back and he pats her head with affection. "Where is Seojun? Is he awake yet? I wanna say bye to him before leaving eomma." "Jiah is here and she has gone to wake him up." Yoongi said (Btw Yoongi and Jiah are siblings!) "Oh nice! Unnie is here!" she said with excitement. "Yah! You never call me oppa or respect me. You only call her unnie. Wae~~" Yoongi whines to which her mom and she just laugh. Just when she was about to respond, they hear the doorbell. Y/n runs out the kitchen yelling "I'll get it". She thought it would be Tae and opened the door with so many expectations that they were immediately shattered as soon as she saw that it was Jimin standing there and not Tae. Even though she was a tad bit disappointed, she didn't let it show on her face and hugged Jimin and said, "Good morning Mochi!" to which he laughs and responds with a happy 'good morning' and returned her hug. "Come in. You're the first one here." she says with a smile as Jimin enters the house inside right behind her. He and Yoongi fist bump and he bows in respect when he saw her mom and she also greeted him. Soon, Yuri and Nari arrive together as they live nearby. Immediately after they arrive Jungkook reaches too. "Komo~ Seojun is not waking up at all! I've been trying for so longggggg" Jiah whines as soon as she reaches downstairs. As soon as she sees all of y/n's friends she smiles and greets them. Right before she could complain again Yoongi speaks up "I'll go get him. I know how to get him down" he says with a smirk. "I'll go too hyung" Kook says and rushes to join him. Within ten minutes they have him woken up and get ready to school and bring him down. He runs to y/n and gives her a hug and says, "Good morning" and kisses her cheeks to which she reciprocates. "Won't you say hi to me Seojun ah?" Jimin asks with a pout. Seojun laughs and goes to Jimin and hugs him and says "Hi Jiminie hyung".

They all are talking and laughing but y/n is not as happy as she was when she first woke up that morning. She ran to the door each time it rang but Taehyung hadn't come yet. It was almost seven a.m. and they all planned that they would leave by seven thirty as they had to reach school by 7.45 and would leave for the trip by eight. She tried calling him and left a few texts as soon as Jimin arrived. But he wasn't responding. She gets up and walks out of the house to go and sit in their garden as the weather was good that day. Bus she secretly wanted to just be alone as she was kind of upset as Tae hadn't come or responded to her yet just when she thought they were getting closer than ever. Jungkook quietly goes and sits next to her, and she acknowledged his presence immediately. "Don't worry he'll be here. It isn't seven yet. " He says chuckling. "Let me guess, you had a discussion with Yuri and Yoongi and finally you agreed to come and "comfort me" right?" she says looking at him. To which he smiles shaking his head because he couldn't deny it. They knew all about Tae and Y/n right from the beginning. They both just end up laughing at that. They just sit there talking and Kook successfully took y/n's mind off of Tae for a few minutes until they heard the gate opening. They both look up to see Tae standing there with his bags in hand and his face was looking pleasant until he saw how close y/n was sitting to Kook. "Hey Tae. It's like 5 minutes to seven bro. Where were you?" Jungkook asks. Before he could respond he saw that y/n said something to Kook and got up and walked back inside without even sparing a glance at him. "I had to get something important, so I ran late. Sorry" "Don't say sorry to me, she's been calling and texting you for so long waiting for you." Kook said and got up and went in too. 'Oh shit!' he thinks and walks in.
