I stood there waiting for my time to come, my trusy companion at my heels. The green man shone and we took off, Jerry navigating the way across the road.We hit the pavement with plenty of time to cross the other side of the road with ease.
A good 20 minute later and we made it to the railroad and the barriers went down. My young dog Jerry, a large Dalmatian with big brown eyes that gazed up at me. Looking down at him i spotted my shoelace was untied. I had to i let go of Jerry.
''Stay Jerry''
I continued to tie my shoelace when a black and white cat the other side of the railway walked past. I knew Jerry had saw it, before i could grab him he leaped from my side just as the train pulled past.
I closed my eyes as i couldn't help him now. His earsplitting yelp ringed in my ear constantly and i zoned out from the rest of the world.
My back hit the wall of the gate of the church and i sank, my hands cupping my face.
I felt a salty tear drip down my face landing on my blue riding coat.
My heart sank and i blacked out from the world.
