CH-7 CLASSES AND EXAMS

Oliver woke up in the morning and started thinking, "Today is the first class of flying and potions."

Oliver went to the Great Hall to have breakfast and started talking to Bellatrix and Phoenix. Bellatrix asked Oliver, "What do your mom and dad do?"

Oliver replied, "My mom and dad have passed away, and I live with my house elf."

Phoenix held Oliver's hand and said, "Oh, Oliver."

Bellatrix, with a remorseful tone, said, "Oh, Oliver, I am sorry."

Oliver responded, "It's okay,"

Oliver said, "It's time for the portion class."

Bellatrix replied, "My first class is Defense Against the Dark Arts."

"Goodbye," Bellatrix said and left.

Phoenix said, "My first class is Flying," and she also bid goodbye.

Oliver held his wand in his hand and said, "Lumos Maxima," causing light to emit from the wand.

Oliver said, "I know how to do it," and with that, he headed towards his first class.

Oliver entered the potion class and saw a fascinating chamber filled with numerous cabinets and shelves containing various potion-making ingredients. There were 30 tables in the room, and 40 cauldrons set up for making potions. The other students were already seated at their respective tables, eagerly waiting for the class to begin. At the front of the class stood the stunning Professor Hermione Coldwell.

Professor Coldwell was an elegant lady with lustrous black hair and captivating blue eyes. She was dressed in a black shirt and pants, adorned with a large black coat that was cinched at the waist with a golden belt.

Professor Hermione Coldwell spoke enthusiastically, "Today, we will make the Cure for Boils potion." She walked over to the blackboard, raised her wand, and as she did, words started appearing on the blackboard, detailing the recipe for the potion.

Cure for Boils
Part 1

Add 6 snake fangs to the mortar.
Crush them into a fine powder using the pestle.
Add 4 measures of the crushed fangs to your cauldron.
Heat the mixture to 250 degrees for 10 seconds.
Wave your wand.
Leave it to brew and return in 33-45 minutes.
Part 2

Add 4 horned slugs to your cauldron.
Take the cauldron off the fire before adding the next ingredient.
Add 2 porcupine quills to your cauldron.
Stir 5 times, clockwise.
Wave your wand to complete the potion.
BOOK OF POTIONS

The Cure for Boils (also known as simply Boil Cure) was a potion that could remove boils, such as those produced by the Pimple Jinx. It was considered an elementary potion, and the recipe could be found in Magical Drafts and Potions and Book of Potions.

If the potion was made successfully, there would be pink smoke rising from the cauldron.

Everyone read the instructions and sat down near their cauldrons to begin their brewing process.

Xenophilius Adamos asked Oliver, "Where are the snake fangs?"
Oliver replied in a normal tone, "They are kept in the wardrobe next to you."

All the students began preparing their potions. Some of them were successful with their brew on the first day. However, a Hufflepuff girl named Rose mentioned that Oliver's potion was the best. With only 10 minutes left before the class ended, everyone had finished making their potions, except for Xenophilius Adamos and Sara Balaska. Both of them had failed to brew their potions correctly.

Professor Hermione Coldwell looked at everyone's potions and seemed delighted when she saw Oliver's potion. She awarded 10 points to the Slytherin house.
