We raced down the road hoping we could get across the city before the morning rush hour started. We dodged and weaved between the cars running stop signs and red lights hitting my horn as we did. But as we made it to the highway I saw the huge line of cars stuck in a gridlock. We slowed and merged in with the other cars. It was taking way bro log so we decided to use the breakdown lane to get past the other cars. We managed to almost make it to the exit when a cop pulled up behind us. I mumbled a curse. Then they hopped on the radio and asked if we would pull over. I answered with a rev of my engine, and I smirked while flooring the gas. We started to gap the officer but soon several others joined the first one and they all had their lights and sirens going. I stepped on the gas and raced to the exit. I looked in my rearview mirror and saw the red and blue lights getting closer. We soon approached the intersection. I drifted across the intersection. Fear hit me hard and fast, I tried to swallow it down but I couldn't. I didn't want to get caught. As I looked over at my group, time seemed to slow down. I saw fear on their faces, I realized that none of them wanted to be caught either. When I looked back at the road, time seemed to snap back to normal, and right in front of me was a truck and I swerved back into my lane. We continued down the street terrified.
"I think we lost them," Bark said.
then I heard sirens behind us, and when I glanced over,
I saw Stone look back and shout "Nope they're on our tail!" The police kept chasing us through the city until they ran out of gas, then we looped around taking a different route so they couldn't catch us. Once we arrived at Charter University we parked our car and went to our classes. I arrived right as class started.
"Mathematics class, 'differential calculus'." My professor said while writing an equation on the board. I pulled out my notebook, pen pouch, and glasses from my messenger bag. I opened my notebook and wrote 'differential calculus' at the top of my paper. I tried to look at the equations on the board but it was blurry. I realized that I forgot I was nearsighted so I put on my glasses and continued to listen to my professor. When I was taking notes I felt someone breathing over my shoulder coming from my left. Someone was looking over my shoulder. I looked over my shoulder and saw a blurry mess of a person. I took off my glasses and saw a man. A young... man. He kind of looked familiar. He kind of looks like my desk partner during high school. I didn't know he was here.
Well Johnsons, didn't like me. He thought I was stealing his 'spotlight'. But I wasn't,
-I think...-
-I don't know.-
-maybe...-
I didn't want to be favored. This kind of sounds like I'm bragging
-I'm not trying to-
but I think he was, or he thought I was smarter than him.
-I am😏-
-but that doesn't matter-
Johnsons hates me.
