Seungmin loved his quiet moments. The times when he could wander around the city alone, lost in his thoughts while the world buzzed around him. Today was no different as he strolled through the park, enjoying the cool breeze and the soft rustling of leaves. Music played in his earphones, but he was barely paying attention to it, lost in his own world.
As he walked further into the park, he noticed a small figure sitting on a bench, engrossed in a book. It was a boy about his age, completely absorbed in the story he was reading. His wide eyes flicked across the pages, and a faint smile played on his lips.
Seungmin found himself intrigued by the boy. There was something captivating about him, an air of innocence and wonder that drew Seungmin's attention. He decided to approach, his curiosity getting the better of him.
"Hi," Seungmin said softly, as he stood next to the bench. The boy looked up, his eyes widening in surprise, but the smile remained.
"Oh, hello," he replied, closing the book and tucking it under his arm. "Sorry, I must have looked really absorbed in that story."
Seungmin smiled warmly. "No need to apologize. It's nice to see someone enjoying a good book."
The boy's smile grew wider, and Seungmin couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth in his chest. "I'm Jeongin, by the way," he introduced himself.
"Seungmin," he replied, extending his hand for a handshake. Jeongin hesitated for a moment before shaking it, his grip surprisingly firm for someone so young.
"You look familiar. Are you from around here?" Jeongin asked, tilting his head curiously.
Seungmin chuckled. "Yeah, I live nearby. I like to come to this park to relax and clear my head."
"That's cool. I come here often too. It's my favorite place to read," Jeongin said, his eyes shining with enthusiasm.
As they continued talking, Seungmin learned that Jeongin had recently moved to the city and was still adjusting to his new surroundings. He was an open book, sharing his thoughts and dreams without any hesitation. There was an honesty to him that Seungmin found refreshing.
Time passed quickly as they chatted, and before they knew it, the sun began to set, casting a warm golden hue over the park. Seungmin realized that he had never felt so comfortable with someone he had just met. It was as if they had known each other for years.
"Hey, do you want to grab some ice cream? There's a good place just down the street," Seungmin suggested, not wanting the conversation to end.
Jeongin 's eyes lit up with excitement. "Sure, I'd love to!"
They walked side by side, laughing and sharing stories like old friends. Seungmin discovered that Jeongin had a mischievous side, and he found himself laughing more than he had in a long time.
As they sat together, enjoying their ice cream, Seungmin couldn't help but feel grateful for the chance encounter. It was as if fate had brought them together, and he knew that this was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Little did they know that their bond would grow stronger with each passing day, and their lives would be forever changed by this unexpected friendship. Seungmin and Jeongin were two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly, creating a beautiful picture of companionship, love, and growth.
