Episode 7: The Reckoning

**Bumblebee stood in the crater, staring at Tarn, as if nothing even occurred.**  "You found it."  **Bumblebee said as he transformed his hand into a cannon and grabbed what was clogging it and threw it away, cocking it back to hear Tarn's answer.**  "I did, although it seemed to have not affected you, it was only a small supernova level energy, I can charge it higher, which is why I'm gonna give you a chance to escape alive." **Bumblebee laughed a bit then unveiled his battle mask.**  "Me? A 'chance' at escape alive? Funny coming from you."  **Bumblebee then put down his battle mask again and dashed towards Tarn, he faked a punch which Tarn fell for and dodged, just the right direction for Bee to deliver a kick to the side of his gut**  "Idiot."  **Bee said as he grabbed Tarn's wrist and flipped him onto his back slamming him.  Tarn grouched in pain, Bumblebee went to stomp his head out but he rolled away just in time, the force from Bumblebee's stomp created a little tremble, Tarn was relieved to have dodged it and quickly got up.**  "Lucky me huh?"  "Don't expect much more luck Tarn, you will pay for everything you've done"  **Bee replied, the two then dashed towards one another and interlocked hands, struggling for dominance, eventually Tarn won the struggle and threw Bumblebee to the floor, charging up another shot, this time he switched it to a high supernova level type shot, Bumblebee looked up with a worried look then BOOM**

**As a giant explosion raced towards Jolt, Hotrod, Ultra Magnus, and Pheonix, Ultra Magnus demanded she jumped in his chest for protection, and she did so quickly. **  "I can't teleport us out of here! That explosion might be too much for our bodies to handle!"  **Jolt said frantically as he continuously tried the teleport them out of there, but it failed.  Hotrod saw this and wondered to himself, could he tank the heat using his powers?  Time was running short, they could feel the heat burning them already**  "You two stand back, let me try my best."  **Jolt said, Hotrod could still barely move and he knew he could potentially save them, Ultra Magnus looked at Jolt with a hint of concern but a lot of respect, Jolt clapped his hands together and electricity cackled around his body and he spewed it out towards the explosion in hopes to keep it at bay, Ultra Magnus put his hand on Jolt's shoulder which made Jolt look over a bit**  "Don't worry Jolt, take some of my energy."  **Ultra Magnus then put some of his life energy into Jolt, he started pushing harder, and harder, but no matter how much it slowed down he couldn't stop it fully...  The 3 bots caught aflame as it got closer, it started making Jolt weaker, Ultra Magnus fell to a knee and Jolt's eye popped out due to the heat compressing against him**  "This is it...  I couldn't stop it, I'm sorry Ultra Magnus, Hotrod forgive me..."  **Jolt said as he gave up and fell to the ground**  "Jolt no! Get back up!"  Ultra Magnus said, as Ultra Magnus went to Jolt's body, Hotrod gained enough strength to walk in front of them and he as he started feeling more and more sadness over how many comrades he's lost in the past 2 hours, he knew he couldn't lose more, his body started cooling, his body started changing to a freezing temperature, he covered Jolt and Ultra Magnus with his body, they felt the coldness...  His emotions...**  "H-Hotrod what are you doing!  Stop!"  **Ultra Magnus begged, Hotrod didn't listen, his temperature just lowered, and lowered, and lowered, then the explosion got to them, Hotrod started yelling out in pain as he struggled to endure it.**  "AAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH"  **Tears came out Hotrod's optics, his back was being scorched, and the tears instantly evaporated, Tarn looked over and saw how they were struggling.**  "Ah, so you can resist it, but doesn't seem it's for long, I can't let you grow this power out."  **He then aimed his cannon at the group and charged it up to High-Level-Supernova and got ready to fire.** "Die..."  **Bumblebee busted through out some smoke and charged Tarn**  "I won't let yo-"  "GRRrrRaaaAAAAHHHhh"  **Hotrod said as the bursted energy from the first explosion started surrounding his body, as if he was absorbing it, Hotrod flexed his body as he started to feel everything surging inside him, Ultra Magnus looked up astonished.**  "H-Hotrod, what's going on? What are you doing, are you absorbing it?"  **Bumblebee stood still and stared, Tarn wasn't phased, he looked at Bumblebee and took out a knife stabbing him in the gut, Bumblebee looked down as energon leaked out, and he punched Tarn's forearm knocking the knife out his hand.  Bumblebee put his hand up to the stab wound, Tarn then uppercut Bee, sending him into the air to which Tarn grabbed his foot and slammed him down to the ground, and sent a fierce strike to Bumblebee's face, shattering his battle mask.  This hit rendered Bumblebee immobile, unconscious**  "BUMBLEBEE!"  **Ultra Magnus said, trying to get up but couldn't**  "We've got to help him, we can't let this just happen!"  **Ultra Magnus begged, Hotrod was still feeling a weird tingling sense as the energy surged inside him, all of a sudden, he then passed out...  Ultra Magnus pushed through his pain and rushed to his side catching him, Hotrod was burning, to an incredibly hot degree.  Ultra Magnus was a tad worried, but then he looked back at Bumblebee worrying even more...**  "G-get me up, I can help..."  **Jolt said as he tried to stand up, Ultra Magnus helped him up and asked.**  "How you're in no condition to fight?!"  "You're right, I can't fight, but they can!"  **Ultra Magnus caught onto what he meant immediately**  "No way, you can't possibly mean-"  **He was cut off by Jolt**  "Fusion."  **Ultra Magnus looked over to Bee, Tarn was talking into his comms, probably to Megatron, but then a question occurred to Magnus. **  "How do we retrieve Bumblebee over here? None of us can take Tar- No.  Actually, I will!"  **Jolt seemed skeptical, and even looked down nervously, Pheonix then shouted from the inside of him**  "NO YOU CAN'T! YOU'LL DIE?!"  **Ultra Magnus opened his chest and grabbed Pheonix, setting her down** "Please Ultra Magnus, rethink this! There must be another way?!"  **Ultra Magnus looked down and shook his head before he hesitantly spoke.** "Pheon- Anrieta.  There is no other way, whether I die here today, or not, is for a greater cause, we Autobots are meant to know what it takes to help each other, to help each other is to realize what the greater unity is!  Bumblebee is our one-way ticket to freedom, his potential lies infinite, and so do all the other Autobots, but Bumblebee...  He's special, and he is Prime's 'son'.  The next in line for the Matrix also, he is...  Our biggest hope we have, until then, remember one thing, all of you, never give up hope, fight.  Fight until all are one, as Optimus says.  Now in my words goodbye."  **Ultra Magnus then transformed after that and raced towards Tarn**  **Pheonix was devastated, but she knew he wouldn't change his mind...  She released a few tears then a loud** "YOU BETTER WIN!"  **Jolt looked into the distance and felt a bit motivated, he looked at Hotrod and began charging him up in preparation to get him ready for the fusion.**
