His brother wasn't in the compound, as usual. Elijah stormed from room to room in search of Niklaus, if he wasn't here then he pretty much knew where else he would be.
"Elijah what is the matter?" Rebekah ran down the stairs gracefully and in a hurry to get to her brother
"Where is Niklaus?" He asked
"If he's not here, I believe you already know where he would be" Rebekah looked at Elijah, both knowing where he was. "Why? Has he done something?"
"Nothing to worry about sister" he assured her "Niklaus is just keeping secrets from us, that is all" he stepped aside to show a small group of people waiting nervously by the door "ask them why they're here"
"Why are you here?" Rebekah stepped up to a teen boy
"Klaus told us to be here tonight" he stuttered, unknowing of what Elijah's brother had planned. Nobody really knew them as vampires, more gangsters of the city. Still were pretty scary.
"Bloody hell" Rebekah exclaimed, walking closer to Elijah to whisper in his ear "this is about the wolves again isn't it?"
Elijah nodded. Niklaus shared some of New Orleans with the werewolves, but now, after not much consideration and not much planning, he has decided he wants the city all to himself.
Elijah turned on his heal and went to walk out of the door "where are you going?" Rebekah asked before he completely disappeared
"To finish what I came here to do, find answers" Elijah half smiled, knowing by the end of the day, he will be omniscient again. "Wait here and look after our... Guests"
Rebekah huffed and lead the guests to the dining hall, where she expected Klaus to be holding this event.
Elijah walked straight into the southern spot without a word of warning to anyone.
A couple of busty, blonde women with tight, laced corsets on and makeup slapped over their faced turned to Elijah and gave him a small wave.
Elijah nodded in return, but he was never really interested in those kind of women. They were always Niklaus' territory.
"Brother" Niklaus welcomed him with open arms. He was sat down and a red headed girl was all over him. "Come, sit down" he smiled, dimpled showing in his cheeks.
He tapped the girls back a couple of times "you can go now" he said, as if she were just an animal. The girl stood and left before giving both of the brothers a grin. "Why are you here?" He asked curiously
"I need answers" Elijah demanded
"I don't know what you're on about" klaus laughed, focussing his attention away for a moment "two bourbons please" he shouted
"We found your, I'm going to say guests, they said you sent them there" Elijah caught him out, grabbing his full attention now
"It's nothing" Klaus brushed it off quickly
"Niklaus, please" Elijah knew he wouldn't get answers being the stick in the mud he usually is "I want this city to ourselves just as much as you do, maybe more, and I'd do anything to get it all, that's why I need to know what you're planning" when Elijah had found out he would be able to change and modify the plans to suit his desires, lessen the casualties of his side.
"Fine" he actually broke Klaus "I've been watching some people around here for a while now, how strong they are, how much they'd fight for something" he began.
Elijah sort of knew where this was heading, Klaus leant in and carried on.
"I've been targeting humans that I've seen do not really fit in, outcasts, criminals, people like that, I invite them all to dinner, and we have a vampire army, once they've all died" he explained.
Elijah knew it. He just needed to hear it. And now, he could get to work, Klaus will have his army, and Elijah will have control of Niklaus, by showing him strategies and ensuring that no innocents are being attacked.
"And are the humans at our house all you have so far?" Elijah recalled the 12 people at the gates "they didn't look like much"
"Please brother, I've been at this for a while now, in fact; I'm in pursuit of one now" he nodded to the barmaid who was now ascending upon them with to full glasses of bourbon.
"Here you go" she smiled to Elijah and then to Klaus.
Elijah thought this girl was absolutely stunning. He wasn't sure what he liked most, her long, wavy brown hair, her piercing green eyes or the fact that out of everyone in this place, she seemed innocent. She obviously stuck out from the rest.
Just as she was about to walk away, Elijah watched as Niklaus pulled her down on his knee.
"Excuse me" she said as she tried to get up, but Klaus' grip was much too strong for her small frame.
"Oh come on love" Klaus laughed as she struggled "have some fun"
"Have fun with the whores" she grunted as she bent his finger back until she heard a snap and until Klaus had let go "I'm not one of them"
Elijah watched in awe as she walked away without another word. Little did she know, she had just broken an Original's finger.
"Outcast" Niklaus muttered under his breath
"What?" Elijah heard him, well, it was directed at him
"She's an outcast" Klaus began "she doesn't know where she belongs; no friends, no family, perfect match, she'll jump at an opportunity to be apart of a group, something bigger than her"
"And how do you know she can handle it?" Elijah couldn't refuse her inevitable death, Niklaus wouldn't trust him with any other information, she had to die and become a vampire.
"I watched her in a back alley the other night, fought off one of my vampires with her bare hands, made a makeshift stake and killed him, on her own" Elijah didn't really believe that a human that small, like her would be capable of that "plus she's known about them for a few days and hasn't said anything"
"Amazing" Elijah muttered to himself as he watched her serve more drinks and dodge men who found it funny to inappropriately touch her.
"And now I'll make the move" Klaus smiled as he got up in pursuit of her.
"Hello love" he walked up to her confidently
"I think you'll enjoy Gretel over there much more than me" she nodded to a girl who stood alone for the moment
"I'm not here for that kind of fun tonight" Klaus laughed "I'm having a dinner party"
"And why am I knowing this?" She asked curiously
"It's like an initiation, into a group" Klaus explained "you strike me as a lone wolf, someone like that really needs a pack, you just need to be apart of something"
The words appealed to her. Lana's life was boring and dull, she didn't like it whatsoever. So what was the harm in spicing things up?
She extended her hand out to shake Niklaus'
"I'm Lana"
