A heros Goodbye

Barramy?

Amy's Pov:
As Barry said my name, My heart raced madly. They shuffled around awkwardly, and grabbed a box. "No...this isn't happening...." I muttered under my breath, but they heard me... "It is, Amy..." they said, on one knee. "Amy....W-will you....-" I looked at them in shock, and sweat was forming in My palms, I could hardly breathe!" I looked them dead in the eyes, and said with shaky breath,
"No." They immediately dropped the box with the ring in it."No," I continued, "I'm not ready. I still need time to process that Sonic isn't the one I'm going to marry."  Their eyes went from surprised, to empathetic. "I understand..." they said patting me on the back. They walked away, seeming really disappointed.

Tails came to my aid, trying to comfort me. He spoke to me gently. "Amy...ims sorry. I shouldn't have encouraged them." He seemed guilty. I couldn't even be mad, I was just heart broken. "Its alright, Tails...." I said, crying the rain began to pour. Tails and I just stood there in the rain, hugging.

When I got home, I took a shower. When I was out, I noticed a picture of Barry and I.  Picking it up, I cried whatever tears remind in me. I turned them down...why? Why couldn't I move on from marrying Sonic? He's gone, damn it! It was at this moment I started blaming myself for his death. I felt it was all because I insisted on the murder mystery train. "I shouldn't have to marry them...." I said shaking. "It...should have been YOU!"

My hands shook, and an impulse came over me as I Punched the picture frame with my fists.  When I did this, the glass shattered, flying across the entire room! It was so intense that a piece of glass got stuck In my right shoulder.  I flinched as it began bleed. I took it as karma for letting him die. I thought I was okay, but when Barry proposed to me, something inside me lost it again.

Tails Pov:
The rain poured and poured. Every time the thunder clashed, I jumped up, still. I wasn't nearly as Afraid as I was, but it was just reflexes. Usually, Sonic was there for me when this happened. It only one more boom for me to break down and call Amy.
"Hello?" She said in a shaky voice. "Hey, Amy...I'm starting to think coming home during the storm was a bad idea, and- ! Amy, are you okay?" Her breath was super shaky, and it made me suspicious. "Amy? Are you okay?" She just sobbed and said. "You shouldn't come over here, Tails. "
immediately, I was very worried, but I tried my best to stay calm throughout the situation. "Amy, deep breathes. That's right. In and out. In and out. Now, tell me. What happened?"
She just sighed. "Come over and we'll talk about it."

When I got to Amy's house, I called out for her, when I found her in the bathroom bandaging her shoulder. "Amy, what happened?" I asked. She pointed to a shattered picture frame.
"Oh..."I responded. An awkward silence filled the room, before Amy finally spoke up. "You know...." she said. "I actually want to marry them. There'd just too many barriers in my way....blue spiky Barriers. " I nodded. "Right...Amy, maybe you shouldn't think of him as a barrier, but as a sign that he'd be happy for you. Maybe istead of imagining Sonic being in the way of your feelings,  instead, think of him giving you a reassuring look saying, 'You got this, Amy.' "

Amy seemed to lighten up a bit.
