Had this idea and wanted to put it down, so here it is.
Uzi became a disassembly drone and hid it from N and V.

[Reader POV]
Uzi has been feeling off for a few weeks now. Pain off and on. She doesn't know why, but doesn't want N or V to know, so she stays quiet about it.
[Uzi POV]
Sneaking out, so I can get parts to make a new gun. I felt a bit bad for leaving N alone, but he was asleep and I would be back quickly, so what was the harm?

The walk was long, but I found what I was looking for. Now, I just need to head back.
[Reader POV]
Uzi's body started to hurt. She stops and tries to find the source, but finds none. The pain increases till her body can't take it anymore and she passes out.
When Uzi woke, she was pack at the landing pod with N looking at her with worry. Once N knew Uzi was ok, he went up the ladder for a bit.
Uzi felt off, but decided to not say anything.
V was out and N was just outside the ship. She tried to remember what had happened when pain shot through her for a few seconds. When it passed, she looked back to see she now has a disassembly drone tail.
She quickly put something on the tip of her new tail, so she could tuck it under her shirt without anyone noticing. Quickly, she wrapped her tail around her waist, under her shirt.
N came back in just as Uzi sits down.
"You ok, Uzi?"
"Ya, i'm fine"
"You sure? I found you passed out in the snow"
"Ya, I'm sure. I must've been more tired than I thought"
"If you say so"
-------A Few Weeks Later-------
Uzi has been hiding more and more as the days pass, today N and V haven't seen her at all.
N and V are out looking for Uzi, while Uzi sneaks back to the ship and looks in the mirror, to find the 5.... things that all disassembly drones have, on her head. She puts her hat back on and sighs, then leaves the ship and runs to a hiding spot. She didn't wanna be seen like this, not right now anyway. She doesn't know how this is happening, but she does know the next thing to change will be her height and last will be her body.
'I'll wait for this to stop and then go back. I'm sorry, N. I'm sorry, V' She thinks.

At her hiding spot, she unwraps her tail from her waist and takes the object off the top of it. The liquid inside is purple and it's half full. She holds it for a bit, just staring at it and thinking. 'Started empty. It must be slowly filling with nanites as it makes them. My body originally didn't have them, so it most likely will take another week or two to fill completely'

It's been a few days and Uzi still hasn't been found, N is getting very worried. V has given up and has been trying to convince N to do the same.
"Stop worrying about her. She's most likely dead by now. It's been weeks"
"I'm not giving up on her, V. She could still be alive out there."
N leaves and continues searching for Uzi....
'Please be ok, Uzi. I'm really worried about you' N sighs as he thinks.
Uzi is avoiding N and V, but staying close by. She doesn't wanna leave N alone, but also doesn't want them to see her like this.
[N POV]
I've been hopeful that Uzi is out there alive somewhere.
Today was like before, going out to look for Uzi again.
[Uzi POV]
I'm following N from a distance. I know he's looking for me, but I'm too scared to let him see me like this. Maybe I should stop following him. He might notice me.
[N POV]
Looking down, as I fly, looking for any signs of Uzi. I still haven't noticed any. Should I give up like V keeps saying? Maybe Uzi is gone. Maybe I am being too hopeful. Maybe..... maybe my feelings for Uzi are affecting me too much. Do I love her?
I land, sitting on a rock while I think.
