Dom, Brian, and Mia have fled to Rio de Janeiro to escape the law. They're laying low and trying to stay out of trouble. However, things take a turn for the worse when they're approached by a local gangster named Reyes.
Reyes has a job for them: steal three cars from a train. Dom, Brian, and Mia are hesitant at first but they realize that they need the money to start a new life. They agree to do the job.
They assemble a team of fast and furious drivers, including Roman, Tej, Han, Gisele, and Brian's sister, Brie. Together, they plan the heist and execute it flawlessly. They manage to steal the cars and escape the train before the police arrive.
However, things quickly go wrong when they realize that one of the cars they stole contains a computer chip that holds important information about Reyes' criminal empire. Reyes is furious and he sends his men after Dom, Brian, Brie, and the rest of the team.
They're forced to go on the run and they're pursued by Reyes' men across the city. They engage in high-speed chases and intense gun battles as they try to escape.
Finally, they're cornered at a favela. Reyes' men have them surrounded and it looks like they're out of options. However, they refuse to give up. Dom and the team come up with a plan to take down Reyes once and for all.
They stage a daring raid on Reyes' mansion, taking out his men and fighting their way to Reyes himself. In the end, they manage to defeat him and take his money.
Dom, Brian, Brie, and the rest of the team are hailed as heroes. They use the money to start a new life and they go their separate ways, knowing that they'll always be fast and furious.
