The group is hanging out at the clubhouse, but richie isn't with them, they haven't seen richie in a couple of weeks now, eddie starts to get worried
Eddie: hey guys have you seen richie by any chance? I havent seen him for a couple weeks now.
Everyone nods there head no and stanley says
Stan: yeah im getting worried too, for all we know he might be dealing with something.
Bill suggests that "what if w-we visit r-richie? To see how he's d-doing"
Eddie: "i agree, for all we know he might be battling cancer" eddie says being the germaphobe he is
Bev puffs her cigarette and says, "thats a little too much, isn't it?"
Eddie: shut up! And stop smoking! Its giving me asthma
Bev: fuck you kaspbrak!
Everyone laughs it off and head on to Richie's house
Meanwhile, richie is laying down on his bed, thinking about what happened at the arcade a couple weeks ago, he hasn't been out of his room ever since,
He starts to tear up but quickly wipes them when he hears a knock on his door
Mrs. Tozier: richie, honey, can i come in?
Richie: the doors open, mom
His mom opens the door and sits at the side of his bed, worried for Richie's health
Mrs. Tozier: honey, you haven't been eating for a couple weeks now, are you ok? Do you have any problems you wanna talk about?
Richie hesitates to tell his mom but realizes that she'll understand his situation, so he got up all the courage he has and tells his mom that
"Mom, i think im gay."
His mom turns her expression into a soft smile and hugs richie in comfort
Mrs Tozier: its okay, hun, no matter what, me and your father will always love you, and we already saw that in you ever since you were a kid.
Richie thanks his mom for understanding and they bond together
Whilst they bond together, there was a knock at the front door,
Mrs. Tozier: ill go ahead and answer that, and ill cook up some lunch for us, you need to eat, i mean staying in your room is not healthy, richie, look at your room! Its a mess!
Richie laughs and start to clean up his room a bit, whilst cleaning, his mom calls him and says "richie, your friends are here!"
Richie goes downstairs and sees eddie, waiting for him
Richie: h-hey guys..!
Eddie: WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN?!ITS BEEN WEEKS! Do you have a fever? Oh go i knew coming here was a bad idea-
Richie: shut up, doctor K, im fine, i just wanted to stay in my room
Bill: your mom told us that y-you haven't been eating too, are you ok?
Richie: im fine guys, i just didnt feel like getting out of my room these past few days
The group smiles in relief that richie is ok, whilst they talk, bill invites richie to go to the club house with them, but richie declines and says that hes tired, bill understands and the group leaves Richie's house, as they were leaving, richie calls out eddie
Richie:" hey eds!"
Eddie turns around and walks back over to richie
Eddie: what?
Richie: are you free tomorrow? I was kinda hoping we would hang out, just me and you?
Eddie gets confused and asks "why?"
Richie: "is it so bad for us to hangout?" Richie says sarcastically
Eddie rolls his eyes at Richie's "funny" joke and says "sure, 4:00?"
Richie smiles, "on the dot, dr. K"
Eddie smiles back and says "see you tomorrow then, trashmouth"
Richie: see you tomorrow dr. K
As richie closes the front door, a bundle of excitement goes around his body
Mrs. Tozier: looks like someone has a date!
Richie says laughing "its not a date, mom!"
Richies mom laughs and says "sure sure, now come eat lunch with me!"
Richie smiles and eats lunch with his mom
