Hello readers!
A hearty welcome:) I'm glad you chose to have a look at my second book (even if it is just a result of mindless scrolling). I'm happy!
You might have already read my first book, Love in Two Cities. Else, you might be new here. Either way, hello to everyone again! Welcome to BOMBAY ROMANCE!
Before you decide upon this story, I shall give you a few insights into what it encompasses.
* Pure entertainment: This story is purely fictional. Certain premises are real and are used fictionally to provide a realistic, connecting touch to the storyline.
* Realistic humans: My story's characters have their ups and downs. They have their own strengths and weaknesses. Nobody is perfect, right?
* Slowburn: The first few chapters establish the characters and their personalities. The main characters meet after a few chapters. The love story takes its time to develop. I believe this is essential to add depth to any romance and make it more enchanting.
* Romance and a premise: Romance is the crux and the soul of the story. In addition, there are subplots and subgenres. Characters in my story do not behave as if 'love' is the only thing they know. There are the things they are engaged in; they have their own family issues, their own careers and their own goals. Those are the elements that give their romance its importance, strength and depth.
* Police and lawyers: They form an integral part of this story. I do not mean to insult or degrade any profession. Both lawyers and the police are essential for the smooth functioning of our country.
* Realistic action: There are a couple of action scenes. Those sequences are different to the Indian masala movie action where the hero bashes up twenty goons with a single punch and walks out unscathed. My story is NOT written that way. I have kept the action scenes practical and logical. People get hurt, period.
* Excessively dramatized dialogues: Writing lengthy dialogues about how much the main characters over each other is not my style. The dialogues in this book are closer to reality, depicting how Indians spoke in the 80s.
* Mature scenes: A couple of chapters are marked MATURE in this book. Intimate romantic scenes, according to me, should invoke a sense of happiness in the readers. I personally do not fancy intimate scenes written in a vulgar fashion. The romantic scenes in this book do not make any reader uncomfortable. On the contrary, these scenes will make you root for the couple a lot more.
* Happy ending: I believe in happy endings. I manifest happy endings. I pray for happy endings. I like happy endings. Hence, I write happy endings!
* Inspiration: Nothing in the world is the sole creation of a human. Everything is a product of inspiration. My story too, is inspired by a lot of creative works by various people. Why, even SS Rajamouli's blockbuster hits Magadheera and Bahubali are inspired by Dr. Rajkumar's Raja Nanna Raja and Mayura respectively (Kannada movies)! The trick lies in picking up inspiration and moulding it in your own creative style to curate an interesting product.
* English: A few characters in this story speak Indianized English, resplendent with sprinkles of Punjabi and Marathi words. It should not be mistaken for errors.
* Errors: Human errors are universal, and my story is no exception. Please excuse the grammatical errors and typos (though I've made sure there are none).
* Plagiarism: I have written this story with lots of love and dedication. Each word is a result of my hard work. And I am extremely possessive about it. There is nothing that one would gain by copying someone else's effort. Please refrain from doing so. DO NOT PLAGIARIZE THIS WORK. IT WILL BE SERIOUSLY DEALT WITH.
With that, let's get started with the story! Do shower it with all love as you did for my first book. You can read the blurb in the next chapter.
Please vote ⭐️ for the chapters as you read them, as it helps the story gain a wider reach. Every chapter is curated after hours and days of effort. It truly pays off when a reader presses the little star icon as they read and like a chapter.
If possible, do leave lots of comments as well. It feels extremely rewarding to know what the readers think of my story:)
Thank you.
Happy reading:)))
Yours truly,
Sahana @Justromcoms ❣️
