The Love Doctor

Sharna's POV

Sharna was sleeping peacefully cuddled with her arms wrapped around her husband's waist.

"Noooo don't leave me,Sharna please wake up!",Paul suddenly screamed and started crying in his sleep which caused Sharna to wake up frightened.

"Ssshhh babe wake up I'm never going to leave you okay,I love with all of my heart.It's just a dream.",she whispered soothingly in his ear then sweetly kissing him with him reciprocating the kiss in an instant.

As soon as she did so she noticed that Paul was very sweaty.Paul's eyes slowly fluttered open and he smiled at her,smiling back Sharna put her hand on his forehead and her smile turned immediately into a concerned frown.

"Babe you're burning up"Sharna said worriedly.

"I'm fine Shar",Paul replied.

"No you're not Paul.I think you may have a fever.I'm calling the doctor",Sharna said.

"No don't! I don't need it! I'm okay! It's just sweat.Everyone sweats you know,even you sometimes, even too much if you know what I mean..."

Sharna blushed while throwing a pillow towards his face.

After agruing for almost an hour Sharna began to give up

"Fine if you don't want me to call the doctor I won't.",Sharna said.

"Finally.Thank you",Paul said

"But...",Sharna stated.

"Why is there always a but with women?",he asked curiously.

"That's easy.We're women.",Sharna said bluntly.

"Touche",Paul said.He had been played once again.

"I want you to tell me the real reason why you won't admit you're really sick please",Sharna told Paul looking at him worriedly with her dreamy beautiful blue eyes

Seeing her like this broke his heart and he gave in,"Yes I'm sick.I'm sorry Shar.I didn't have any intention of hurting you.It's just that I don't want to ruin your girls' night out with your best friend tonight.You and Peta have been planning this perfect night for months and you deserve to have it.",Paul said squeezing her hand while looking at her heartbroken.

"I forgive you.Let's not rush things Paul.How about I call the doctor and we see from there,okay?,Sharna said assuringly while Paul nodded.

A few moments later,the doctor came and told Paul he has a virus which we will lead him to experience a lot of symptoms.He recommended medication as well as advised him to drink plently of fluids most especially water to prevent dehydration.

Sharna texted Peta:

"Hey Peta.I know you're probably going to kill me for this but is there any chance we can postpone tonight's girls night out.Paul's terribly ill with a virus and I don't want to leave him all alone.I feel horrible about this but I'm too concerned about Paul to be able to have fun.I hope you understand.I love you Peta.".

Peta quickly replied:

"Sharna my love don't you worry.It's fine,we can have it anytime.Oh my gosh how is he? Is there anything you need me to buy for him to help you? If you need anything tell me.Send him my get well wishes and a kiss from me.You'll be in my prayers loves."

Sharna texted back:

"Will do! ;) Awe thank you Peta.No you don't have too.I've got it all covered. I've got to go now.Paul needs me."

Peta replied:

Of course you do.Go go I won't keep you. ;) Anytime love.xx"

Sharna spent the following couple of days taking care of Paul until he finally recovered and they were both relieved but it wasn't meant to be.On Sunday morning Paul woke up to the sound of vomiting in the bathroom.He quickly rushed there and found Sharna throwing up with her face in the toliet.He started rubbing her back and pulled her hair back in a ponytail with a hair tie.

"Oh no,not you now!",Paul said sadly.

Sharna turned slowly and looked at him,"Who are we kidding? We knew it was coming eventually. I'll be fine love.It's just a virus.",Sharna replied somewhat convincingly.

"I'm going to make sure of that! Now it's my time to take care of you!",Paul smiled kissing her forehead.
