Minji never knew that she'd one day gain a crush on her friend. Best friend, to be exact. They were close for years, in 6th grade. And yes, she gained a crush on her on 8th year.

8th grade, 7AM.

Minji patiently waited for her friend, Hanni. She was walking back and, forth. Bored, she decided to play on her phone. She decided to scroll on tiktok, while texting her circle, at the same time.

She then took a glance at Hanni's porch. She suddenly got reminded of how lucky  it was that the two lived nearby fortunately, since her other friends lived far. Thinking of it, she was able to help Minji more with her difficult homework, and plus the hangouts. They hungout often than with the others. Sometimes because of their parents, other: no clue.

Well, talking about a certain someone, she heard the door knob twist. Unlocking the huge door, was her friend.

"Hey Minji!" they both greeted each other.

Hanni walked towards her friend. Since it was their first day of grade 8th class, they talked about it while walking. Minji was very nervous, while on the other hand, Hanni barely looked bothered.

In a swift, but soft movement, Hanni took the girl's hand, and held it. With such an action, it caused Minji to stop her walking, and looked at the shorter one.

Hanni looked behind, and at Minji, "Don't worry Minji, i'll be here for you, if anything goes bad." she smiled, softly squeezing it.

That was when she realized her true feelings:

Having a crush on her.

Two years passed, the duo who lived near one another, walked the school hallways, alongside her most closest friend. The two gathered with a few other students, before getting into their daily chattering.

Like their every other day schedule, the school bell rang, supposing the time would be 8:15 AM. The students were put into a non-likely spell, as they walk to their designated homerooms. So as the group. The two, Haerin, and Danielle separated from the other three. Leaving Hyein, Hanni, and Minji.

Before the teacher was in the room, the youngsters were already opening their mouths. Heavy gossip was spread around the room, as the three friends finally arrived. They took their seats.

Hanni sat in the front, while Hyein and Minji were in the same row, but not together. Their class were put into duos. Unluckily, none of them sat together, caused by some horrible seating arrangements.

Anyway, before they could spit a word, their teacher, Mr. Kang entered the classroom, leaving those in the room with complete silence. As if the the teacher had some sort of magic. He smiled, and whipped out a clip board, with a paper that had the classses' names written on there. Either absent, or present.

They took their daily attendance. But like everyday, Hyein would notice Minji looking at Hanni. To be real, it wasn't just any kind of 'looking', but looking.

Minji looked at her with adoring eyes. The vibe she gave Hanni was much different to her other friends. Lovely gazes, were sent to Hanni, meanwhile, she gave literal death stares to the other three. Hyein hid her small giggle through her smile. Seeing how whipped she's gotten with her.

To be honest, Minji having a crush on Hanni was if not, one of the most obvious things, ever. But, Hanni never saw it, noticed it, or anything. Which made Minji keep her feelings away, or afar.

Suddenly, she was brought back to reality when the teach yelled out her name.

As time ticked by, it reached a full hour.

Mr. Kang settled down the class, leaving a small free period. The students stretch themselves, as they are as tired as they were the day before. Though it was morning, he had already given them many assignments. But of course, they endured it for a better grade.

Since they were given a break, the three friends sat next to each other, just like their classmates. But hanni just brought a chair over to the two.

"Do you guys understand the homework?" Hyein frustratedly commented. She slouched on the desk, the work was seemingly difficult for her. Hanni shortly smiled, and carressed her back, "Don't worry, i'll help you with it!" Hyein quickly straightened her posture, realizing how Minji was already looking, maybe teyibg to hide her jealousy, since her crush just touched her back. (Something she's never done to Minji though they were friends for life.)

Hyein laughed awkwardly, seeing the face on Minji.

"Let's go to my house this afternoon?" Hanni asked. Meanwhile the black-haired girl, felt even more jealous. "Don't worry, Minji, you can come too," hearing her name, she looked back faster than light, and smiled widely. Delight could be found on her face. But that huge smile would soon fade when she heard, "And the others of course!"

Hyein snickered.
