Amara's POV

I stopped at the gas station near my house for some snacks and of course the important stuff chocolate and three tubs of ice-cream. The little conversation with Alex felt weird it wasn't interrupted and it wasn't uncomfortable it was just ok but I wasn't sure if I was going to be fine with the fact that I was going to be working with him. But I wasn't going to think of it much.

Alex's POV

I woke up the next morning with a bad headache, Nigel got me some water a pill and the day's newspaper sure kill me for being an old man. If the headache from all that alcohol wasn't bad the big headline sure was going to end my life. It was Amara's picture on one side and mine on the other with the title "New CEO rumored to be working with secretary and ex college sweetheart but has the romance really died" and the writer went on to tell of our argument that  someone who clearly works at the company so wonderfully told the press and it was in that 5 seconds of my rage I heard my name being squealed and four pairs of heels and who could it be but my mother and her beloved Cassady.

Ivory: All of that planning and telling the press that you two will be getting married and her picture is in the paper are you serious, Alexander what do you have to say for yourself

Alex: Mother I have absolutely nothing to say and why are you so concerned and the press is just showing that a fake or real engagement with Cassady Von Gera isn't what the public is looking for.

Of course Cass sat on the couch in my room fake weeping her eyes out and of course my mother comforting her. at this point I am tired of them

Cassady: What does she have that I don't have?

Ivory: Don't worry my dear you will be the next Reeves I just know it and you young man tell that secretary of yours that she is to stay clear of you

Alex: Sure now would the two of you get out and when I said get out I meant out of my house

Ivory: Are you rushing your own mother out of your house

Alex: yes anyways Augustine!

Augustine: yes sir

Alex: Thank you for coming so to my aid without delay now please get these two out of here now

He left basically dragging them by the Prada and I have never felt so accomplished until now

I did my morning routine and got in my car and drove to Amara's house, I knew she was on a break because of the event last night but I just felt to talk to her stupid I know.

I pulled up to her gate and knocked on the door and obviously I woke her up. Her hair was all over the place and she had a line under her eyes, she was wearing a black silk spaghetti strap night gown, what is it and her looking good in everything even if I was the reason she pulled herself from bed.

Amara's POV

Amara: So are you going to just stand there and look at me

Alex: Oh sorry, I just had to ask you a favour

He blushed and walked in I found it weird if he needed a favour why come to my house.

Amara: So you couldn't call instead you wasted gas to come to my doorway.

Alex: I thought it would be better if I came and spoke to you face to face

Amara: So how may I help you?

Alex: So I don't know what exactly to do as the CEO so I would like your help.

Amara: Well I can't help with that today and seeing I am your assistant I can use all of tomorrow to do that. Today is packed for me and the person should be here any minute.
