Inconvenient Dream

'Jump from the building' they said, 'nothing bad will happen' they said. I roll my eyes after being caught by the pro hero Hawks...

"So the plan is to wait until he strikes then catch him?" Aizawa asked me. "Yep" I replied. "Okay, I'm gonna go out for some coffee if you want anything?" "No thanks" After he leaves my office I start to get to work and go through what the commission has on me. 'Has fire control? Eh...not that far off'

30 minutes past before Aizawa shows up with a coffee in his hands. He sits down in the chair in front of me then we start working on the case. A few hours later we decided to call it a night. "See you tomorrow Aizawa get home safe" I say as I give him a smile. "You too kid" "I- hey! I'm only two years younger than you" I say offended. "Still a kid" he says bluntly.

-A few weeks later-

It's been a few weeks for me and Aizawa to work on the case and I could tell that he was starting to get suspicious of my lack of trying to solve the case. It's night and I'm cleaning up my office Aizawa seems quiet today.

I take a glance at him and I see that he's looking at me. "You need something gramps?" I say jokingly. "Yea, I've been noticing that you've been coming here more and more tired, have you been getting enough sleep?" He asks. "Well, of course I have. What makes you say that?" I ask him. "You seem more tired than usual" 'Damn, I thought he wouldn't notice' I mentally facepalm myself. "Don't worry I've just been overworking in this case" I give him a smile. "I'm gonna head home now Aizawa" I finish packing up and walk out of the door. "Let me walk you home, since you're not a hero and it's a dangerous time at night." He says just before I fully leave "Oh no, it's fine I can just walk home by myself." "You sure?" "Yes, it's fine Aizawa." I tell him then leave.

After walking sometime I see Auntie Inko's house so I decided to stop by her house for a bit and take a small break before I continue my journey to my house. I walk up to her door and knock on it, I wait for a couple of minutes then after a while of no movement from the other side, I turn around and continue my way to my house.

The walk wasn't that long so I made it home in no time. I walk into my house sat my keys and bag down and made my way to the kitchen. I made myself a cup of tea and sat down on my couch and watched some tv until I was finished my cup. I walked to my room changed into some night clothes and headed to bed.

-Dream-

'I try to make a run for it but he catches me with his scarf. "Going somewhere?" He says in a mocking tone. "Let me go!" I yell at him shouting all kinds of curse words with it. The scarf tightens on me. I turn to look at Aizawa to find that he's already looking at me, "What do you want from me..?" I asked the raven haired man. "I want to know why." He answered. "Why what?" "Why did you decide to become a villain" he says. "Like I'd tell you eye bags" I replied snarky. He rubs his temples and sighs "You really want to play this game" he asked tiredly. I stare at him before not responding. "You look like shit." I say changing the subject. "Haha, real funny."

After a few minutes I break from his scarf and start to run from building to building. "Hey! Get back here!" Aizawa yells from behind me. I don't turn around and I continue to run. I trip and start falling from the tall building. Right before I hit the ground everything goes dark'

-End of dream-

I wake up in a sweat, I look outside it's still dark. I check my phone 3:15 the clock read. I groan in annoyance as I get up out of bed and make my way downstairs to grab another cup of tea. I make my tea and sit at the counter drinking it. 'with how slow I'm going with this case they might close it, I mean it works in my favor either way.' I thought to myself as I finished the rest of my tea.

I make my way back upstairs to my bedroom and get back into bed. I try to go back to sleep. I toss and turn for a few minutes before my eyes start to get heavy and finally I drift off into a dreamless sleep.
