Zora

I have never been in love or even wanted to try to fall in love. I don't think I even know what love is. I know when someone is attractive and I like to look just like anyone else but no one has ever made me want them. That was until I met Arlo my boss at A&A's bar he's the owner and the only guy I have ever wanted to get to know. I think it's because he's so mysterious never talks much the cold heart and all. The only thing I know about him is he doesn't like people, he's barely here, he owns the place, and I'm pretty sure there's not a heart inside his body. But he is attractive that's no lie his brown hair,grey eyes and perfect tan skin. I could stare all day long except he is barely at work which is frustrating. Some girls try to get with him but it never works I just laugh at their failed attempts.

I see a group of people walk into the bar. They pull me out of my thoughts that I was slowly drowning in. I watch as they walk over to me and ask me for a Moscow mule and whiskey. I keep a smile on my face because that's what they like to see and I start making their drinks and see arlo walk inside I look up at him and study his face he doesn't even pay me a glance. I sigh and finish their drinks handing it to them. I walk over to milo another bar tender I am friends with at work he's cold hearted like Arlo but I think he's got a soft spot for me. he always makes sure I'm taken care of and the creeps don't come after me. "hey I'm gonna take a bathroom break" he nods and tends to the other customers. I pass by arlos office and peek inside I see him at his desk looking through files with a straight face. He's always got the same look on his face no emotion and if he does it's anger which I don't want to be around when he's mad. "hey Arlo" I say biting my lip out of nervousness "hi zo" he looks at me for a second and god his eyes are perfect I would get lost in them if he would ever let me look long enough. when he calls me zo it makes me feel like there is a chance he might like me or even care at the slightest. I continue on to the bathroom but before I can go inside a man approach's me "hi beautiful" he says and backs me up against a wall. I freeze knowing this is it it's the moment my life goes down hill I had heard of things like this happening but I never thought it would happen to me. out of fear I look for milo knowing he should be behind the bar but his eyes don't meet mine. I'm so scared my voice is broken not able to speak or scream for help just frozen in time. He goes to touch my face and I close my eyes waiting for the disgusting feeling of touch that's not from a man I want to be with but most likely a dirty rapist. When it doesn't happen I open them to see arlo gripping the man's wrist. Arlo looks into my eyes and I hope he can see all the things I want to tell him in this moment. He looks pissed I have never seen him this mad and I'm just glad I'm not the cause of it "what do you think your doing" he says with a cold voice when the guy sees arlos face i can see the fear in his eyes and the guy says nothing but I  can see all the things he wants to say through the fear in his eyes. When I see the chance I slide out from the corner i was backed into and behind Arlo. I watch as he twist the guys arm behind his back "milo" arlo says and he points at the man. I watch as Milo walks outside to the back and arlo walks him out to milo. I head back behind the bar since no one's there to tend and think about all of the possibilities that could be happening. Hours go by and my shift is over. I walk back to arlos office "thank you for keeping him off me" I say to him but he doesn't look up at me "it's my job zo your my staff" I nod my head and walk over to him peeking at his paper work "what are you doing?" He asks and covers up the papers "I was just looking" I say as I back up "it's none of your business" he says and stands up walking past me "zo go home your shift is over" he says as he hold the door open to his office letting me out. I walk out and find Milo "will you walk me to my car please" I ask him "of course come on" he grabs my bag out of my hand and carries it for me to the car once we get to the door he opens the driver door letting me inside then closes the door. I start the car and watch him go to the other side and put my stuff in the passenger seat "thank you Milo" I say and he nobs his head "also what happened to that guy" Milo stares at me for a moment "I dealt with him" he closes the door before I have a chance to ask another question.

I put my car in drive to pull out of the parking lot but turn back remembering I forgot my phone. I park the car and leave it running before walking back inside "I forgot my-" I don't get to finish my sentence because I see Arlo pointing a gun to a guys head. Arlo looks up and me and I can see the anger in his eyes but this time it's aimed at me "zo get in my office now" he says in a demanding voice but I back up and hit someone's chest I close my eyes and bite my lip scared to move and see who's there "zo... go to his office" I hear milo say in a more calm voice which helps me feel a little better. I look up and see milo looking down at me and I nod my head before walking to Arlos office. I take a seat and let the thoughts flood my head. Does arlo kill people? Why is there a gun to that guys head? What if he's a killer. What if he's going to kill me. I have to get out of here I decide and stand up looking for a way out but the only way is through the door. I peek my head around and see milo standing by the guy but I don't see Arlo so I slowly walk out making sure to be quiet so Milo doesn't see me. I get behind the bar squatting down so I can get closer to the door but before I can get to the door I look back and see Arlo with a gun to my head. My eyes go wide and I put my hands up "Arlo... please" I look at him with fear in my eyes "zora I told you to stay in my office" he says "I'm sorry I'm just scared" I stand up shaking and he grabs me by my waist "Milo take care of this I'm taking her to the house" as soon as those words come out of his mouth I know I have lost. He walks me out the back door into a dark ally way the only light coming from a small lamp which was probably put their so Arlo could see to his car. He never takes his hand off me and maybe this would be nice if I didn't just witness what I did or had a gun to my head by him. I knew he was heartless but I never thought he would possibly hurt me or put me in any kind of danger. He opens the passenger door to his Audi it's a dark blue almost black color. I sit down taking in anything I could use to tell the cops whenever I escape. But as soon as I take a look in the back seat any kind of calm I had went out the window. I see a body bag with guns all around what I'm assuming is a dead guy. I shut my eyes tightly wishing I wasn't here. But they are forced open when I hear the driver door open. The whole car ride is silent and I just watch the way to his house hoping I will know the way home once I escape. After an hour or so we pull up to a gate that's hidden with trees. He puts in a code and the gate opens and he drives up the driveway there are tree's everywhere I still can't see the house. After a couple minutes it finally opens up to the biggest house I have ever seen. It's beautiful. if I wasn't so scared I would be excited to see this house it's all black and white with a huge water fountain. No wonder he's never at work I wouldn't want to leave this place either. I start getting more nervous when I see a man in all black walk out from the house. He's tall and huge looks like he could kill me with his bear hands. "This is Elion he is one of the guards" arlo says but I just nod "the only people that know my real name is you, milo, and my sister everyone else calls me Sin Miedo" he says to me "why do I get to know your real name?" I say looking him directly in the eyes "because you work at the bar that's all you knew me as so it didn't matter" he says and I just nod "is milo in on this?" I ask another question "yes he's my right hand and works at the bar as a cover" he says and I nod. Elion opens my door for me and I step out looking for arlo. He walks around the car and nods his head towards the house which I assume is his way of saying follow him so I do. He opens the door and I walk in looking around it's so beautiful in here you can tell he had a professional decorate it. Out of the corner of my eye I see a woman walking my way she looks a little older so I assume it's his mom "this is Demi are house keeper and cook" he says I smile at her and she does the same "are you hungry?" She asks me and I shake my head no. She nods and smiles before walking away probably to clean or do what ever she does in this criminal house. "milo will be here later tonight so I will show you your room for tonight" arlo says and I follow him up the stairs into a huge bedroom. "This is yours" he says and I look around it's white, grey and green. He shows me to the walk in closet and the bathroom. It's beautiful I just wish there were clothes in it. "I am going to send Demi for clothing I need you to write down your sizes for everything" he says and I nod my head "will I get to go back home?" I look at him when I ask "probably not zo you saw what happened and how do I know you won't run to the police" I tuck my lips into my mouth and look down at the floor "anyways I need to go do some more work just stay in here" he says and leaves the room. I hear a click at the door and try to open it but it's locked. He locked me in the room.
