Class of the Titans: The 8th hero

Chapter 1

Groaning awake, a young girl pulled the blanket over her head, blocking out the morning rays filtering through her room.

She could hear the soft padding of footsteps outside her bedroom, a knock followed shortly. "Sky, it's time to get up!" called a voice.

The voice belonged to a goddess, Athena. The exact same goddess that was currently rapping on Sky's door woke the young teen up even more.

"Alright, I'm up!" She yelled out, yanking her blanket off her head, glaring at the door. "Jeeze, can't a girl sleep in?"

"You can later on," Responded Athena, talking to Sky through the door. "Zeus needs you to head to the school."

Getting up, Sky flinched when her feet touched the cold ground before slowly going back down again. She pinched the bridge of her nose, simmering down the rage that bubbled through her morning Body.

Reluctantly Sky left the warmth of her bed, her feet padding to the wardrobe. Pulling the door open, she held on to it, eyes still struggling to stay open, but eventually got there.

Blindly grabbing a random pair of clothes, she quickly got dressed. Wearing fit yet loose Jeans with rips, a black fishing net crop top with long sleeves, on top a while shirt with a printed Motorcycle. She slipped on black heel boots.

With her hair tied up high with a few framing her face. Sky snatched her bag, filling it with a phone charger, headphones, a reading book, a textbook, a pencil case, a wallet, keys and her medallion to get into the school.

Pulling her door open; it was decorated with band names and stickers. A particular one faded but was still distinguishable if the seer was squinting at it. It was a faded fluffy cow that Sky named Prince Fluffy.

Running her fingers over the said sticker, she headed down the hallway, the kitchen in view, hearing Athena move about, humming a familiar tune with food cooking in the background.

"All right, I'm heading out!" She announced, reaching Athena and kissing the woman's cheek.

"Be safe on your way there." Athena happily responded, reaching back and patting Sky's cheek.

Leaving the kitchen and heading for the door, Sky grabbed her skateboard and pulled the door open, the pungent smell of the city hitting her nose. Digging through her pocket, she pulled out a Vaseline jelly and spread a small amount under her nose.

"This place always stinks," She grumbled, closing the door behind her and jumping down the steps, dropping her board and skating off to the school.

Sky grumbled on her way over to the school, dodging people and upturned concrete and tree roots. "Of all the days that I was asked to come to school, it had to be on the weekend."

The buzzing of her phone caught her attention. Still in the motion on her board, Sky fished her phone in her pocket. Pulling it free, she saw that she had a message from Neil.

'Are you available to be my bodyguard at a photoshoot sometime soon?' Texted Neil.

Rolling her eyes playfully, Sky responded back, a small smile on her face. 'Yeah, sure. Send me the dets when you have it all.'

Shoving her phone deep in her pocket, Sky made it to New Olympus High. Coming to a stop, she slammed her foot on the end of her skateboard, making it jump high and snatching it midair.

With her skateboard safely tucked under her arm and the other in her pocket, Sky headed for the other in her pocket, and Sky headed for the school's entryway, easily slipping in without a problem. Her shoes squeaked through the empty hallways, turning down every corner to get to the janitor's closet.
