When they arrived at their destination, the teacher gathered the students and instructed them to form groups for the various activities planned during the class trip.

As per the teacher's direction, Jungwon, Jay, Sunoo, and Ni-ki stood together in the same group. The atmosphere was tense, and an awkward silence hung in the air.

They reluctantly followed the teacher's guidance, walking in a group towards the assigned rooms.

Jay and Jungwon tried to ease the awkwardness by engaging in light conversation, but it didn't fully work at all.

Finally, they reached their rooms, and the group members awkwardly settled in. The tension seemed to intensify as they sat together, not knowing what to say or how to approach each other.

Throughout the entire time in the room, nobody spoke a word to each other. The silence was heavy and suffocating.

Jay and Jungwon were the only ones having a good conversation, but even that couldn't fully lighten the atmosphere.

We put our luggage away and chose our beds. There were two bunk beds, and Jay asked who wanted to sleep where. Without hesitation, Jungwon excitedly said he wanted to sleep above, and I quickly responded that I'd sleep under him.

Jay and Ni-ki agreed on Jay sleeping above and Ni-ki under him. The arrangements were made, but the awkwardness remained.

The room we were staying in was surprisingly spacious. It had one large window, and the view from the window was breathtaking; we could see a vast expanse of greenery, with a terrace below that seemed like the perfect spot to gather and enjoy the scenery.

I also noticed the four chairs and the table in the middle of the room, a place where we could all gather and talk, but for now, it remained empty and untouched.

Fun fact: This is the exact same room I was staying at during my class trip. I was the one sleeping in the bed which is Sunoo's now :))

Jay and Jungwon continued to engage in a light conversation, trying their best to create a sense of normalcy. They discussed the activities planned for the trip and the places they'd visit with the class. Despite their efforts, the silence between Ni-ki and me remained, like an invisible wall separating us from the rest of the group.

Not long after settling into the room, the teacher called us down to start with our trip. The first activity on the agenda was to view the city. Being in a rural area, there weren't many tourists around, and the surroundings had a quaint charm with old houses and streets that told stories of its history.

When we arrived at the city, the teacher instructed us to stay in our groups and gave us two hours to explore and have fun. The city was peaceful, and the lack of bustling crowds allowed us to take in the serene ambiance.
