Irina sat up slowly and looked around her room. She thought over the events of the day before as she got dressed.
"Raz and I.. Are dating.."
Her face flushed red as she thought about her confession the night before. And prepared herself to see how things were going to be during breakfast. She opened her door to see Raziel waiting in the hallway.
"Were you waiting for me?"
Raz smiled at her.
"Yeah. But Ive only been here for a couple minutes."
Irina smiled back.
"As much as i love that you waited. You didn't have to."
Raz smiled and held her hand as they walked to the dining room.
"I didn't have to. But our rooms are right next to her. So I felt like waiting for you."
Irina smiled as they walked into the dining room and sat at the table next to each other.
Gabe and Alexis walked in a couple moments later and sat down at the table. And Cenera and Mayumi soon walked in and set up the plates of food for everyone.
Mayumi looked around the room.
"Where are Shiki and Lucian?"
Evina walked into the room and sat at the head of the table.
"Shiki is running an errand for me this morning. And Lucian will be gone for a couple days. Now, let's hurry and eat. There's something i want us all to discuss."
Everyone ate their food quietly and once everyone finished their food Evina sighed.
"Ok. First order of business. We won't speak to anyone outside of the orphanage about the fortunes from yesterday. Second order of business. The errand I sent Shiki on is to meet with to members of the church and bring them back here.. They want to talk to Gabriel and Irina."
Gabe and Irina looked st each other then to Evina.
"Miss Evina.. Why would they want to speak to Irina and me?"
Evina thought for a moment.
"The members of the church are your parents Gabriel. I have no idea why they want to talk to Irina as well though.."
Irina thought for a bit.
"Well.. I was raised in the church so maybe your parents know me?"
Gabriel shrugged.
Everyone sat in silence for a bit before Shiki walked into the room with a man and a women behind him. The man and women smiled as they saw Gabriel and he walked over to hug them.
"Its good to see you.. But.. What are you doing here?"
Gabriel's mom looked around the room.
"Let's sit down before we start talking."
Everyone sat down before Gabriel's mom began to speak.
"Its good to see you're all doing well. You kids all look nice and healthy."
She took a deep breath before continuing.
"My husband and I have worked for the church for a long time. And we were lucky enough to talk the church out of taking our son.. But.. A year after we had our son we gave birth to a daughter.. The church took her away soon after her birth and I have spent years trying to find out what they've done with our wonderful daughter.."
Gabe's mom wiped tears from her eyes before continuing
"I thought that I would never find her.. And then two months ago we found information that told us our daughters new name and soon we learned that she had been assigned by the church to stay here in the same orphanage as our son.."
She looked at Irina as she continued.
"Irina, you are our daughter.. I am so sorry that we could never be there for you growing up.. I know you may be mad at us. But I at least wanted to tell you that we are your parents.. And that you have a brother.."
Everyone sat in silence as they processed the newly given information. Irina looked at her parents.
"The only reason that I did anything for the church was so I could find my parents."
Irina started to tear up as her parents walked to her and hugged her.
"Im glad that I could meet you.. Mom. Dad. Im so happy that I could finally meet you."
