Prologue
About five years ago
Stephen Crowson finalizes a deal for a warehouse in Mustafu, Japan. He was chosen by his father to expand their business empire here. If it was up to him, he would have picked a better place than here; well in a different city actually. Here, is a small warehouse that is in the few parts in the city that is not under immense radar as the more populated areas and therefore safer, but he would rather avoid this whole city. There were at least several big time Crime Bosses and a bunch of smaller fractions. Actually, Magnus wanted him to go into a larger area of the city but Stephen at least got him to compromise on this area.
Stephen's operations will be primarily shipment of their weapons, but the front will have to be of a less conspicuous type of merchandise. Yep, Stephen at least gotten his father's strategic thinking and business attributes at least. Only thing Magnus really liked about him. He never cared to much about his children; more like business partners.
Currently Stephen was going over plans to modify the warehouse to have an underground room for the weaponry and black market commodities. As well as corridors to throw off thieves and police. A contractor that was meticulously selected to not talk and paid well under the table. Alongside him was his son, Leif.
His daughter was at home in the study of her own suite doing a watercolor painting of flowers in a vase that sat on the table in front of her. This house was big, but not a mansion big. It was a good way from the warehouse, at the opposite end of the lot they bought as well as the surrounding land, woodlands to keep from being developed or used by the public. A nice Bungalow that needs loads of TLC, but right now was cleaned and fixed up enough; especially the main living areas to move in. There would be time for major fixing up once the warehouse was up and running. Right now he had a few security guards he brought with him to make the rounds. At least four in total. They will have to be enough, but they were good at their jobs.
Two outside and two inside, they went around like clock work ongoing in one direction another in the opposite direction. Inside as far as one could discern the other two are watching the scarce cameras they have at every door. So the two outer guards would only periodically, cross paths, but the timing was always the same.
Oh, these newbie outsiders, they have the disadvantage of not fully knowing about all of the tunnels this old house has, even the ones that weren't even in the original plans. Would be a shame if someone were to time it right and go around where this overgrown shrub was and go into this long forgotten cellar door. Yes, underground was his forte, his advantage, and one of the reasons why he was able to do so well in this city. The place he was born and raised. Walked the street since he was little. Worked alongside his contractor father and grandfather. He knew where the tunnels were. He knew the underground as well as the above.
Higari walked through this tunnel with his shirt partially buttoned up. Shoulder length hair roughly combed through, briefly showing more of his gray-blue eyes. His fingers are full of rings; including one on his left pinky finger with his initials. Boots making tracks on the dirt floor. Face in a scowl.
{Seriously, Magnus dears set up shop like this? He thinks he can compete against me, in my city? I don't care if this isn't part of my territory. If this area been abandoned and forgotten, it has residence now and they aren't going to be living here for free; trying to out compete me.} Higari snuck in through a secret door in the library. He meant to go towards the current living space. He has watched for a while. The guards do go around the whole house, but prioritize the still abandoned spots, figuring someone would more likely sneak in through there and not be so bold.
