The hunt has only just begun.

Willow POV:

I let go of Amity slowly my arm resting on her shoulders, I was trying my best to comfort my best friend I mean her girlfriend just disappeared... And one of my best friends, But none of that matters i have to be here for Amity right now not myself.

We slowly continued walking around keeping an eye  out just in case if Luz decided to pop out of nowhere and yell "BOO" but that never happened as we past more and more buildings they slowly became more and more limited now showing the area of green grass and thousands of trees in the distance of the field in front. I stop in my tracks gently putting my hand on Amity's shoulder making her to stop and turn to look at me as she wore a puzzled expression, "Amity I think we have done enough searching you need to rest". Amity's puzzled face soon turned into a blank stare as she turned to look back at the green field.

She stood like that for a few moments before she spoke up again.

"I can't I have this feeling that she's close I don't know from where but I just know" Amity said as she brought her hand to her heart and squeezed the part of fabric covering that part of her skin like she was in pain.

I couldn't help but frown it was troubling seeing her like this, she's always been a happy girl with Luz. And now Luz was somewhere and not with Amity causing the purple haired witch to start becoming more secluded, focusing more time on finding leads on Luz's whereabouts.

I took my hand off her shoulder, "How about we come back later yeah? That time we can bring everyone with us" I suggested, even tho as much as I wanted to agree with Amity and start looking for Luz now, we would only get tried way to fast and not have the energy to look for Luz more even tho I don't think that would stop Amity, that girl would push herself to the point of passing out to find Luz.

Amity gave out a sigh still looking dead into the layer of trees a good 40 yards away from them.

"Ok"

I gave a quick sad smile before she turned back around in the direction of the owl house once and they started walking once again.

As me and Amity walking into the owl house hooty greeted us. "Heyyyy guyyyss" he said twirling around us two like a snake levitating in mid air. "Hooty not the time I'm sorry" I replied seeing as tho Amity was about to strangle the strange owl "aw ok" he said as her withered back to the door.

I heard talking in the kitchen so that's where we headed and we approached the entryway saw that eda, king, Gus, and Lilith were there, I assumed boscha was at grudgby practice because she wasn't there.

"Yes but that could be her!"

"We don't know that for certain it could be a trap for all we know Edalyn"

"Ohhhh because you know so much about those don't you"

"I-"

"What's going on" I said making myself and Amity present."nothing.." Lilith tried to explain but Gus cut her off "we think we found a lead on Luz",Amity visibly perked up hearing this a shimmer of hope in her eyes "well what are we waiting for let's go" Amity was already about to hurry out of the house but I stopped her, "IT COULD BE A TRAP" Lilith once again noted very loudly.

"Ok ok let's calm down" i persuaded them as I sat down to continue speaking " tell us how'd you get this information on the lead" all eyes were set on Eda now as she slowly spoke visibly confused, shaky and tierd "have you not heard yet?" But we just stared at her "obviously not" Amity said gritting her teeth with every word.

"Ok ok I'm sorry" Eda continued looking back incessantly at the purple hairs which before looking to the floor "there is a town not far from here called jaja (just go with it) I'm sure you've heard of it?" She asked picking her gaze up from the floor to look at us.

Amity brought a hand up to her chin thinking as I just stared at Edas form she looked exhausted the circles under her eyes worse, her hair was as messy and a griffins nest and she's really skinny like she hasn't eaten anything for the past 24 hours.

"I've heard of it before it's known for its natural resources and wealth right?" Amity inquired Eda only nodded her head.

I sparred a glance at Gus noticing him start to get more and more gloomy as Eda continued the information 'I could only prepare for the worst' I looked back to Eda.

"Last night a part of the town was set ablaze, and missing very rare minerals were reported missing, thankfully there were no major casualties but it was obvious that someone had purposely started it being as though there were mutable patrol guards knocked out with bumps on the back of there head like they've been hit with a hilt of something"

"Eda please as much as this can go on and on, TELL me now why you think Luz is there" Amity did not say calmly at all.

We all waited for a response as she stuttered to get the right words out and when she finally did I could not help but get a little hopeful.

"Witnesses say there was a brown haired witch on the roof above all spurting fire from her hands"

Amity stood up with her hands cluched to her side "That's all you have to go on really?!? my girlfriend is missing and we can't just go on a wild goose chase on some random witch that can do fire spel-"

"You didn't let me finish"

Amity stopped but stared at Eda for a good long moment before letting out a huff and sitting back down with her arms crossed.

The next sentences that came from her mouth turned that hope into fear..

"That witch was human"

POV-UNKNOWN

"Well well well" a giggle was let out

"Let the hunt begin"

Hey hey hey how's it been??? I hope you guys like this chapter I think compared to the first few chapters my writing is getting less cringy, I might have to go back and fix those but yeah, hope you guys are having a wondering night or day where ever you are and love ya :)
