We had to get out I was hungry and I was bored of being locked up in here. I had no clothes on but I went out the window anyway. It was hard to squeeze through there. My companion held the window open for me.
I sat on the wet damp street picking at leaves as the cars wizzed by. A woman approached me she had brown curl hair and she was big in weight. As she approached I looked more at my surroundings.
I was particularly more interested in finding my companion. You see we never go anywhere without each other. Just as I spotted him the curly haired lady picked me up and asked me if I wanted some chocolate milk. I nodded my dirty face yes. She carried me to the house attempting to brush my ratty short hair down with her hand. I wasn't scared of this woman because my companion was following close behind. I have seen this woman before too. She sat me on the small counter when we got inside of the trailer. I leaned against the wooden cabinets as I drank my chocolate milk. I said something that the woman thought was funny she laughed. She told me your mom will be home soon. We walked outside and I saw her. I saw mommy that's who I saw. I started to giggle I was happy. I wanted to run to her as fast as my little legs would go. But the woman told me not to. She told me to stay here. Mommy hasn't seen me yet she was talking to someone and she started pointing over here. Mommy turned around and started walking over here. She was several house trailers down the trailer park. But mommy she was coming. When she got to me she told the curly haired woman thank you thank you. She gathered me and my companion and we started back to back to somewhere. I looked back at the woman to smile the chocolate milk was good I wanted more. The women waved at me as I smiled. There was a great sadness that paled her eyes as I waved my little hand back. I looked down at my dirty little feet as mommy pulled me back to back to somewhere.
I was two years old.
