It's time for some good old Karlnap...

KARL POV

Four days since we left that base thing. Four. For Four whole days we walked, only stopping for brief meals and nights full of deep sleep.

Sapnap had started this thing where anytime someone looks at me weird he slams me into a wall and makes out with me. Now, I don't particularly hate this, but it does get kinda annoying. It's really hot but we don't have time to stop and make out every hour or so.

"Done making out?" Tommy breaks our hands apart to stand between us. We've just come back from a talk of me telling Sap he needs to stop with the surprise make out sessions and then he asked very sweetly and we made out anyways. "Your lips are swollen, Karl."

"They are?" I reach up to touch them and no, they definitely aren't. "Shush, Tommy."

"Okay." He laughs, ruffling my hair, "your ears are all perked when you're upset."

"And your ears get perked when you're happy, plus you're wagging your tail." I point out, his tail only wagging faster.

"Pretty sure that happens to all us dog-people." Dream interjects, "My tail wags when I'm happy too."

"I just purr." Tubbo jumps around us for a minute. "Are we gonna start going again? We're supposed to get to Ardmore today, right?"

"Yeah, like, four more miles. Halfway done for the day." Wilbur looks at the map, dragging his finger across it as he speaks.

"We gonna do the searching houses thing again tonight?" Colby steps in, "What're we even looking for?"

"Anything worth finding, I guess." I shrug, looking out on the city in the distance. It doesn't look too far but I know looks can be deceiving. It's still a long walk. "Sap, piggy back ride?"

"Absolutely not, it's too hot for that. I'm already carrying your bag." I forgot about that. I guess it's okay then.

"Let's just go." I start walking the way Wilbur pointed to when I said that and soon we're all walking together, singing songs together and sounding really silly.

We've checked half the block already and found a couple of useful things. Some medicine, canned foods, and that's really all. There's still the usual stuff: the stuffy air, dead bodies, the occasional infestation of rats, that type of gross stuff.

There's only one more house to go for Sapnap and I, Dream and George are finishing up the houses across the street.

"This house feels less stuffy," Sapnap points out as we enter the building. "Kinda weird."

He goes through the right side of the kitchen and I go through the left. Along with this house not being as stuffy it's also surprisingly empty. There's no canned food or anything which is just odd. Really odd.

"Let's check upstairs," Sapnap whispers, gun at the ready. "Maybe someone is hiding out here?"

"Then why would there be food in the neighbor's houses, that doesn't make any sense." Even though it doesn't make much sense I remain behind him as we make our way upstairs. There's five doors.

First room is clear.

Second room is clear.

Bathroom is clear.

Third bedroom is clear.

Last one. It's the master bedroom, I can tell that much when we open the door. Sap moves to do his thing, checking every nook and cranny like a SWAT team would.
