this was not before mlp but during nightmare moon
she traveled to equestia from the crystal empire
backstory:
neon was just a little earth pony in the crystal empire working for king sombra she was very depressed and her colors faded in time until one day somepony showed the crystal heart to the crysta empire and all depression was lifted so she wanted to find out what the rest of equestria looked like so she secretly got on the train she finally arrived in equestria she lived among the shadows in the everfree forest with that zecora she learned magic and how she could do it without a unicorn horn
i know short backstory but maybe ill do another book
