BILLIONS OF YEARS HAVE PASSED SINCE THE UNIVERSE WAS RESET. LIFE ON EARTH HAS RE-EVOLVED. THOUGH DUE TO THE ALTERED CIRCUMSTANCES AND VARIABLES, THINGS ARE DIFFERENT THIS TIME...

"HEY ROOOOOSE!" Rose turned to see her childhood friend, Hyacinth, jogging toward her from the cafeteria, waving. She had changed a lot since Rose had last seen her, she'd become taller and chubbier, she wore a MANNA intern uniform, save for the pink acid washed jeans, and her pink tie, which bore an acrylic MANNA logo pinned to the knot. Though now a young adult, her figure hadn't really changed, her torso was bottom-heavy, but not fat- she resembled a stunted teen more than someone of legal voting age. Her messy twin-tails were a natural brown, with a single pink highlight in her hair, framing the glasses she wore on her smiling, dimpled, freckled face. "Oh, it's you!" Rose stepped back a bit, shocked. Hyacinth slowed to a walk as she approached, "Aw what, scared people'll think we're dating?" Rose jerked her head back a bit in surprise at the snarky reply, before retorting, "Oh- naw I just... didn't expect you to yell... you anarchist." Rose was able to pull herself away from anxiety and match Hyacinth's tone.

The two began walking across the grassy lawn of the high school. Rose was happy to have bumped into someone who felt so familiar. It gave her a sense of security in this alien place. She'd just come from a lecture on libido, the psychological life drive, but made sure to take thorough notes, so she had no problem talking to Hyacinth.

"So, what are you doing tonight? Wanna come over?" A blushing Rose snapped her head quickly to look at her friend as Hyacinth continued, "Yeah it's been years- but still, I can tell you haven't changed much. At least in your head. You're still that upbeat kid I-... I had a crush on in junior high." Rose was overjoyed as she stared down at the ground in front of her. She thought Hyacinth had forgotten about her since she was pulled out of seventh grade for homeschooling. They were in the same internship program at MANNA, but Rose never noticed the frequent glances Hyacinth sent her way. She decided to be bold, "Y- You know what? I would love to." Hyacinth stopped. "Awesome! Alrighty then," she leaned in and gave Rose a peck on the cheek, "It's a date!"
