Broken [HuntLow]

Willow's POV:

After Luz introduced us to her mom, Camila, Camila sat us down at the kitchen table. "Are these your friends mija?" Camila asked.

Luz nodded. "Hunter, Willow, Gus, and Amity, my girlfriend." She explained, pointing at each of us respectively.

Camila nodded. "So all of you are now trapped here?"

"Yes Mamá. Where's Vee?" Luz sighed.

"Upstairs. I'll get all of you situated." Camila said, standing up.

Amity and I ended up sleeping in Luz and Vee's room, while Hunter and Gus slept in the basement. Vee told us a lot about the human realm, and how it was different from the demon realm.

Eventually, we had to go to sleep, but I woke up after an hour. Luz was gone from the bunk bed, and Vee and Amity were fast asleep. I sat up and put my glasses back on and quietly walked downstairs to get some water. I sat at the table with my glass. The basement door opened and Hunter walked up.

"Hi Willow..." Hunter muttered, also getting water.

I noticed that there were tears trailing down his face when he switched on one of the lights. "Hunter..."

"I'm fine Willow." He muttered, with a little bit of a hiccup.

I stood up and hugged him. "It's okay Hunter... Now tell me what's wrong." I said, tilting his chin up and wiping his tears.

Hunter buried his face in my shoulder and cried. "It's just... I don't know who I am now that I'm not the golden guard."

"Listen. You are Hunter." I pulled away from him. "You are an amazing person, and you have people who love you. You aren't the golden guard, but you are a person."

He looked surprised. "Thank you Willow."

I smiled and sat him down at the table. I pushed a glass of water over to him. "Drink." He obliged and I sat again. "Are you feeling better?" I asked after a few minutes.

"Yeah... Thanks again." Hunter stood up and smiled at me, before he went back downstairs. I sighed and got up, returning to the room and going back to sleep.

In the morning, Hunter came up into our room to wake us up.

"Good morning Hunter..." I sat up and yawned, putting my glasses on.

He nodded. "I helped Camila with breakfast."

I pulled Amity up and she woke Vee up. Luz hadn't returned to the room, though. Us three walked downstairs and sat at the table. Gus and Luz were also sitting there, and Hunter was standing in the corner. I walked over to Hunter after Amity and Vee sat. "Aren't you going to eat?" I asked him.

"I'm not hungry."

I frowned. "You need to take care of yourself." I tugged on his cheek, and his face flushed red. "Just eat one thing."

"Okay..." He sat down and I sat next to him.

I looked down at my plate then at Hunter. "You said you helped? It looks good."

He smiled. "It's just eggs and bacon, according to Camila."

"Still." I grinned. Hunter's face turned red again and he turned away from me. FlapJack flew over to him and perched on his shoulder. "Aww who's a cutie?" I reached up and stroked FlapJack's head. He chirped and hopped onto the table. Hunter grinned, his tooth gap showing. I smiled, happy to see him happy.

"Mija, why don't you take your friends out somewhere? I need to get to get to work." Camila said, coming over to the table. She ruffled Luz's and Vee's hair, and they nodded.
