One month later

It had been a month since Rose had left and the grief of being separated from her still stung my heart like a fresh wound. The wound cut even deeper now that I was in Paris.

The Martinelli cartel was destroyed; all men killed. I was here to take Alicia back to Silas. Alicia was Silas' custodian before their marriage and she was the one who had helped me assassinate the remaining of the men. She had flown to New York two days after Rose had left and helped me track down the men and kill every single one of them.

Rose had no threat to her life now.

I looked at the scene unfolding in front of me. Silas held Alicia in his arms, examining the minor injuries on her face as he whispered sweet and gentle words to her. I smiled, looking down at my hands as I imagined it being me and my beautiful Rose.

''Well Tina,'' he grinned when I groaned, hating the nickname he had given me since I was ten. ''Thank you so much for taking care of Alicia.''

''Oh no, thanks to you.'' I faced Alicia with a small smile and then looked at Silas. ''You've got a pretty badass wife there.''

Silas smiled but it soon turned down, his face taking a serious expression. ''Clecentine. You and I both know that Rose is living here, in Paris, not too far away from this place. You could go meet her.''

I took a deep breath and shifted uncomfortably in my seat. I had mixed feelings about meeting Rose. My heartbeat had been erratic ever since I had stepped foot in Paris, nervous about bumping into Rose. I was afraid that I would bump into her and my heart would melt into a puddle.

One part of me wanted to find her and tell her that I love her. Another part told me to let her live a normal life. It had been a month and she was probably getting over the heartbreak. Coming back into her peaceful life would probably not be a good decision.

''Clecentine.'' Alicia sighed. ''Just tell her how you feel. It's never too late to confess your love.''

I let out a breath and got up from my seat giving them a small smile. ''I better get going now.''

They got up from their seats and walked me to the door. I looked at Silas with a small smile and let out a surprised gasp when he hugged me tightly. ''You're an idiot, you know that?'' He said as I returned the hug, chuckling slightly.

We pulled away and I nodded at him before walking towards my car. The car began driving away and I got immersed in the beauty of Paris, The City of Love.

I stared out of the window, looking at the bright sky and the clouds floating above. If Rose was here she would probably point at the clouds and start making bizarre shapes out of them.

And right then, in one moment everything changed. The car slowed down and then stopped at the traffic light and I got a clear view of the love of my life standing a few feet away from me, holding a brown bag with groceries as she munched away on a chocolate. She stood near a park, not many people around her. I noticed that the ends of her hair were dyed red. It suited her.
