"Today is the day..." I mumbled as tears started streaming down my face. I got a hold of the noose, breathing heavily . Almost as if I was taking my last dying breath before going to sleep ... forever. I stood on top of the chair I had placed earlier that day and wrapped the noose around my neck ...

Diana's P.O.V
"You are so stupid!"
My uncle rebuked as he quickly stood from his seat.
"I-I'm sorry... I didn't mean to ... it was an accident ... I'll cle-"
"Shut up! Get the fuck out!"
I stood frozen in my place as his words became nothing but echoes in my head.
"Didn't you hear me?!"
He stared me down and all that came out was a 'What...' before feeling a sharp pain on my cheek.
"Don't fucking talk back to me!"
He yelled as he raised his hand at me once more. I flinched and quickly walked to my room, my hand placed on my cheek. I locked the door to my bedroom and cried into my pillow.
"Why did it have to be me? Why is it that everything I do is wrong? All I do is spill a bit of beer and I get slapped at for it...."
I whispered to myself as I wiped away my tears.
"There's no point ... if all I feel is pain."
I sobbed as I took out a razor from my drawer . The razor slid with ease across my wrist as they began to bleed a bit . It was all I could do to relieve my pain ...
*Later That Night*
I finished packing up all my belongings.
"I'm ready ..."
I told myself. I thought about escaping this dreadful home for many years now . I wanted to leave this hell hole and start over again. I didn't want to look my uncle in the face anymore ... I jumped as I heard banging coming from the other side of my door.
"Open up!"
I heard my uncle yell . I opened up only to be met face to face with my angry uncle.
"Don't lock this door, got it?"
I simply nodded quickly in hopes that he would just leave. He looked over my shoulder and walked over to my bed.
"Where are you going."
"N-Nowhere..."
I stuttered
"Are you leaving!"
He yelled now more enraged than before. He took off his belt and prepared to use it .
"No! Please! I wasn't going to leave ... I swear!"
I pleaded. I felt a sharp pain on my arm and soon my back as he repeatedly beat me.
"That should teach you a lesson."
He said putting his belt back on and leaving, closing the door behind him. I trembled in fear crying into my hands as I laid there on the floor for hours unable to move...
I finally gathered enough strength to get myself up and leave already.
"Ow.."
I groaned as I held onto my side. The pain in my back and arms was throbbing with pain with every movement. I looked at my surroundings trying to locate where I could escape . It was all unexpected so I had no clue which way to go. I struggled to stand up and walk to my door, trying the doorknob in order to open it.
"God damn it..."
My uncle had placed something heavy in front of my door making it difficult for me to leave. I walked towards my bed to sit down for a bit.
"Fuck..."
I winced at the pain. I began to search for something to unlock the door. The sound of my textbooks hit the ground causing a loud thud to echo in my room . My head quickly turned towards the door, afraid that my uncle might burst in again . I stood there in silence listening to any sudden noises outside my room . I sighed in relief and resumed looking for an escape . After an hour I was tired and gave up.
"Maybe ... there is no hope..."
I thought to myself . I leaned on my wall and felt myself sink in. I turned and with curiosity, I peeled away the wallpaper to find an open window . My face lit up as I thanked god for answering my prayers . I grabbed my bags and quietly exited through the opening, finally able to see the light of day after many years . I walked down the sidewalk for at least an hour, holding on tightly to my waist . It had gotten dark quickly and to my surprise, I found an alley.
"I should rest ..."
I thought and laid down on some flatly laid boxes.
