Chapter 2

*Jace POV*

We rode into the school on our bikes and parked in our usual spot. I cut the engine and stepped off and pulled off my helmet. I brushed my dark brown hair back with my hand and looked towards the school. Another day in hell.. I thought. As I stuffed my keys in my pockets I saw Alex and a couple other people standing near the door looking at us. Or in our direction at least. I've known her forever it seems like bit we never talked to each other. I got a bad rep and she was a nerd. Well she was in my book. I waited for the guys to get off there bikes and we walked towards the school I noticed Alex had already gone in. Probably to class. Nerd.

"So what do we do today guys?" John asked from behind me.

"To the usual spot obviously." Cole, my twin brother told him.

"Unless you have anything better to do." I added. We heard a car door slam and we all looked in the direction of the sound. We saw a girl with long dirty blond wavy hair rushing to get her stuff so she wouldn't be late to class. We all looked at each other then made our way to the girl. I've seen her before but couldn't place a name to her face. Cole looked at us giving us the look that asked if he could do this one. We nodded and he jogged to her. She jumped when he spoke and she tried to maneuver around him by he pulled her in his arms and moved closer to her. Whatever he was saying was sure messing with her mind. You could see it. I wish I could do what my brother could. He had a soft side, he could be patient with girls to get what he wanted. But me, I wanted what I wanted and I wanted it when I wanted it. Plain and simple. A few more seconds past and the bell rang signaling that anyone else would be late. The girl hesitated and he nodded telling her she could go. She ran to the school building and intro the doors. Cole waltzed back over to us with a grin.

"Let me guess.." I started.

"She gettin it buddy?" Alaric said slapping him on the back.

"Ooh yeah." He said an we all laughed and made our way to our usual spot under the stairs outside the school.

*Alex POV*

Me and Le walked into history class just as the last bell rang. I looked around the room looking for are other friend. As if reading my mind, Le spoke up.

"Where's Jaz?" I shrugged and took my seat. "She's usually here before we are." She added sitting beside me.

"She's probably running a few minutes late." As soon as the words left my mouth a breathless Jasmine came into the room. She spoke to the tea her for a moment before taking her seat behind me.

"You ok?" I turned around asking her. Nobody was paying attention they were all getting out their stuff and talking amongst themselves.

"I ran into Cole." She whispers and looks down.

"Whoa wait what do you mean you 'ran into Cole'? You mean he came up to you?" Le said freaking out. Jaz nodded doodling on her pei e of paper.

"He wants me to meet him after school today." She mumbles barely loud enough for us to hear.

"What?!" We both gasp. Some people look at us. I bring my voice to a whisper.

"What do you mean he wants to meet you after school?" I ask.

"He wants to.. You know." She emphasized the last part.

"Yeah your not going." Lena spoke up opening her notebook an writing down the stuff on the board. Me and Jaz did the same. Once I was done I turned back to her she was looking at her phone in her lap. She showed me the message and I read carefully.

"Can't wait for you to meet me babe ;)"

"You're not going by yourself I'm going with you." I tell her and turn around before she can say another word.
