Hunter's POV:
I woke up with Clover and FlapJack sleeping on my chest and my arm hanging off the couch, brushing Willow's hand. I blushed and retracted my arm and hugged myself, avoiding the Palismen. I stood up and brushed Clover and FlapJack away, then walked into the kitchen.
"Good morning mijo." Camila said. "How was your night?" She asked.
"It was fine. Do you need help?" I asked, standing awkwardly in the entryway.
She smiled and shook her head. "It's okay. Why don't you go back to sleep?"
I frowned. "Okay." I walked back into the living room and laid face down on the couch. According to the clock on the bookcase, it was only 5:10 AM, and I couldn't get back to sleep.
"Hunter?" Willow muttered, waking up.
I looked down at her and smiled a bit. "Good morning Willow."
Willow reached for her glasses and put them on. She sat up and Clover hopped onto her shoulder. "Why are you up so early?"
"Couldn't sleep..." I muttered, wrapping my hands around FlapJack.
Willow thought for a second and smiled. She started a spell and a flower grew through the floorboards. I smiled back and my face got hot. I turned away, hoping she didn't see the blush on my face. I slid off the couch and sat next to Willow, and held the flower's petals in my hands. The flower grew along with Willow's smile. I stared at her, my blush continuing to grow. She blushed too and sighed.
"I'm going on a walk..." She said, standing up. "Want to come with me?" I nodded and she helped me up. "I found a park near here. It's probably empty since it's early."
I leaned down and put my shoes on, then handed Willow hers. We walked out into the street and started towards the park. Willow reached out a hand and I held it. When we got to the park, she sat under a tree, pulling me down next to her. She laughed and I smiled again.
Willow looked around the empty park. I yawned and leaned on her shoulder. She stroked my hair and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. I sighed happily. This would be a nice way to stay for a while.
"Hunter... Can I tell you something?" Willow whispered.
I glanced at her. "Yeah?"
"I... Like you."
I stared at her and she covered her face. "That's... Straightforward." I muttered.
"I uhm, it's okay if you don't like me back!" She panicked.
I sighed and hugged her. "I do. I just don't know if either of us is ready for a relationship... Well, mostly me."
Willow looked at me and frowned. "Oh yeah... I forgot."
"It's fine... I'm just recoveri-." I heard a rustling in the bushes across from us. "Did you hear that?"
Willow stood up and then helped me up. "No...? Are you okay Hunter?"
"N-no..." I murmured, staring at the place the noise had come from. "Can we go home now?" She nodded and practically dragged me back to Luz's house.
Willow tossed me onto the couch and went to get the others. I sat on the couch, pulling at my hair. I knew I saw something, but it couldn't be what I thought it was... I tried to take a breath, but my throat closed up. My vision faded in and out, before it went out entirely.
"Hunter? Hunter?!" Gus shook my shoulders and I regained my sight. I took a deep breath, filling my lungs with air.
"I'm okay." I muttered. The others stared at me, like they weren't so sure I was right.
