I sigh as I look at the house in front of me. It's not grand or anything. In fact it's kind of bland. However I must call this place my new home.

"Hey, grab your stuff!" Cynthia yells at me while carrying a pile of boxes and bags herself.

I grab my stuff and head to my new room after helping unpacking for a bit. I set my stuff in a corner and turn around. I yelp as I see a girl behind me.

"Is everything okay up there?" I hear my mom yell from downstairs. I look at the girl and she's simply staring at me and looks a bit confused.

"Yeah!" I yell back.

"Who are you?" I ask the girl, "Why are you in my room? Where did you come from?"

I get ready to ask another question but the girl interrupts me, "I'm Seria, this is my room, and I don't really remember. Anyways, you can see me? Like really see me?!" She says as she creeps closer to me and then eventually we touch noses. I quietly yelp again as I try to step backwards.

"Yes I can see you, why wouldn't I be able to?"

"Most can't, it's been a while since I've talked to anyone." Seria answers.

"How long?"

She pauses as she looks around and then looks back at me, "A long time."

"You're not alive are you?"

"No."

I pause as I look at her pale skin and long black hair. "You're a vampire." It feels so unreal. She tilts her head then gives me a deadpan stare and slightly glares.

"No, dumbass, I'm a ghost. Have been for centuries."

I gape as I continue to stare at her. "Oh."

"Well how did you die? You seem like a nice girl." I ask after a period of us staring at each other.

"I'm not a girl." She states, ignoring my question.

"What are you then? You have-" she interrupts me at this point.

"Yeah I have tits and wearing a gown but I'm not a girl."

"What are you then?"

"Not a girl."

She then starts to walk away.

"Where are you going?"

"Nowhere. Wanna come with?" She (?) says as she - they (?) look over their shoulder.

"No."

A couple of days later Seria shows up again as I'm unpacking a box in the living room. I contain my yelp this time and glare at them.

"I'm sorry for scaring you," they state. I sigh as I take them in.

"If you're not a girl, what are your pronouns?"

"I'm sorry?" They ask with a head tilt.

"Okay so like I use she and her and identify as a girl, what about you?"

"Oh, that is awfully considerate of you, thank you. I simply identify as not a girl and care for no such things."

"What does that mean?" I ask this time with a head tilt.

"I simply don't care what you use for me." She states.

"Oh okay I get it now. Well do you want to be friends?"

She nods as I turn around and continue to unpack. We talk somewhat about random things. She compliments my dyed red, kinky hair and I compliment her long, black hair.

Suddenly she gets up and makes for the entrance. "I must leave now."

"But why, we were talking and my moms aren't ho-" before I could finish she's vanished into thin air. Though I suppose that's what she is.

"I need your help," is what I hear behind me before I die. Kidding, just felt like I was going to. I turn around to see Seria.

"What?" I ask dumbly.

"I need your help," she states again.

"Okay, elaborate," I say as I lean against my bed.

"I need help confessing my romantic interests in this girl from town."

"Huh?" I let out a breathe as I think of how Seria knows of this girl from town, let alone likes her. As far as I know Seria's been stalking her, and well that does fit Seria's vibe.

She then starts to back up and look self conscious before saying, "I also need help finding and burying my body parts so I can move on." And then she's gone. I'm left looking at just where she was as my mind is reeling from what ghost not girl just laid on me.
