Chapter III: The One With The Plans.

SATURDAY \ 11:26 AM.

      The sun was beaming at my forehead as I walked alongside both Ricky and Mike. I was regretting the decision of wearing my hair down and not in it's usual puff. It sat like a lion's mane on my shoulders, making me sweat like crazy.

Mike was still tripping out about Bobby and I last night. I listened to him feed Ricky this exaggerated story as Ricky ate it like it was lunch.

    "And what else happened?" Slick asked with a grin on his face.

I rolled my eyes as my arms sat crossed over my under-developed chest. "Nothing! He just exaggerating. We played ball, listened to music at his grandma's place, and talked."

"Oh that's all?" Mike smacked his teeth, "Yo, Bob was basically undressing her with his eyes when I was at the door, Slick."

I had to laugh. He could not be serious right now. He couldn't.

"Damn." Slick laughed, "Bobby getting you before Mike? Now that's crazy."

"Nobody's getting anything, okay? Mike just thinks that I'm gonna kick him to the curb now that I'm friends with Bobby." I shrugged my shoulders. Mike scoffed and shook his head.

      "Why would I think that?" Mike asked.

        "Maybe cause you see some competition." I raised my eyebrows, watching his reaction. Slick instigated the moment by putting his fist up to his mouth and saying, "Oooh! She got you on that one, Mike."

Slick dapped me up and laughed as Mike smacked his teeth and shooed me off. "Man fuck y'all."

   In all seriousness, I hoped Mike knew that I was just joking and didn't feel no type of weirdness. I really didn't want a boyfriend, let alone to ruin he and Bobby's friendship. In fact, I wanted us all to be cool. Bobby included.

  No weird, phony mess.

    "Ayo y'all! Wait up!" We all collectively turned around to see Bobby running up to us. I smiled as I seen him. He dapped each one of us, me being the last,

"Oh shit. I thought you was Chaka Khan or something." Bobby laughed as he pointed towards my hair.

     "Okay, James Brown Jr." I playfully rolled my eyes.

"Don't say that now." Slick shook his head, "Dude never gon' live it down." He laughed as Bobby smacked his teeth, laughing as well.

"Yo Bob, how was the show last night?" Mike asked as he eyed me and Slick with a small smirk. I hid the laugh that wanted to escape as I thought about me and Bobby's conversation last night.

"Yeah that shit was lil' embarrassing." Bobby and I laughed.

"More than a little. I was embarrassed myself." I raised my eyebrows as he nudged me, making me laugh. "Sorry but I did!"

He sighed, "What did Slick and Mike say? I know they probably clowned me."

I quickly shook my head no, "Oh no, they slipped out to pee before your name was called. I told them they missed you do your thang'."
