P.S. "Manic" and "Sonia" are not made-up characters. They're featured in "Sonic Underground" as Sonic's twin siblings (just not identical). They are real characters, look them up.
(I want to apologize for the fact that I wrote the first chapter nn fucking July 14th and it's the entire next month. My bad, honestly. But I'm back)

Sonic was snoring in his bed, sleeping peacefully, trying to fill up the small energy capacity that his feeble body had. His sleep was disrupted by a cup of cold water being poured onto his head from about 4 feet above him, splashing against his face as he flopped like a fish for a couple of seconds, then jolted up, staring directly at his twin brother who was towering over him with an annoying toothy grin.

"What the fuck Manic?!"
He exclaimed, grabbing the cup out of Manic's hand and splashing the remaining water onto Manic's face, throwing the cup at him and curling up in his covers

"Jeez, dude! It's not my fault you wouldn't wake up. Mom would get pissed if you were late, on the first day no less."
Manic said, clearly annoyed, wiping the water off his face. He smirked before jumping up onto Sonic's bed and beginning to jump on it like he was at a trampoline park
"Wake upppp"
Manic said, crashing directly next to Sonic after failing to annoy him awake

"You gotta get up man, you good?"
Manic said, his smirk fading a bit
Sonic nodded
"I'm fine. I'm just a bit dissapointed that mom sent YOU to wake me up this morning"
*He said with a smirk as he tossed one of his small pillows at Manic's face, and got up*
"It was actually my idea, mom is already at work."
Manic said staring at the ceiling

"Alright get out"
Sonic quickly said
Manic overdramatically groaned as he slumped out of bed and walked out, leaving Sonic's door cracked instead of shutting it

About 15 minutes later, Sonic was in his uniform, and ready for school. He dragged his backpack downstairs, setting it by the door before slipping his shoes on and walking towards the counter to grab his bag of lunch, stuffing it in his backpack.
He looked at the dining room, where he saw his dad talking with Manic and Sonia. Sonic smiled a bit and walked towards them
"Are you guys ready?"
Sonic asked his twins, sharing an awkward glance with his dad as his dad left the room.

"I am"
Sonia said as she got up from the table and headed out the door without a word
"And you?"
Sonic said glaring at Manic
"Not in the slightest"
Manic said with his signature grin, shooting some finger-guns at sonic
Sonic rolled his eyes, yet couldn't help but smirk at Manic's antics.
"I hope you're aware we have 5 minutes before the bus comes"
Sonic said with a sly glare as he grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl and headed out the front door, seeing Manic desperately try to devour his cereal as quickly as possible out of the corner of his eyes
Sonic began his walk to the bus stop, not seeing Sonia on their street, so she was probably already there.
Once he arrived at his bus stop, he could faintly see a familiar bright green figure down the road, running at the bus stop at full speed
Sonic snickered.
"I find it ironic how you got me up this morning without even being ready yourself"
Sonic said once Manic arrived, seeing his brother hunched over, and wheezing for air
Manic didn't respond, still trying to catch his breath.
"Just looking out for you first"
Manic said in between heavy breaths, standing up straight and leaning on a tree with a smile.

Eventually, their bus came and they were off to school. Most of the seats were already taken so all of them were left with no choice but to sit next to people they didn't know. Sonic sighed as he sat down, setting his bag on his lap and resting his chin on him.

"Hey, my name's Tails, what's yours?"
Asked the two-tailed fox sitting next to him, offering out his hand for Sonic's to shake

Sonic raised an eyebrow
"Sonic"
He said shaking Tail's hand

Lol L bozo that's all your getting
(P.S) I had honestly given up on writing this thing entirely, but then I realized I'd end up contributing to the stereotype that online writers write 1 singular chapter, then dip once they lose interest. So I'll continue writing this until I finish, especially since I have some friends looking forward to the next chapter anyway. I promise that after this, it won't take me a month to put out chapter 2 Sorry that this chapter was small, but I promise that chapter 3 is gonna be a lot more promising.
