Oh, New Girl Alert

The First Day

To give some background information, this is Angela's second time switching schools in about a year. Oh, and did I forget to mention her parents are divorced...well yeah that kind of happened last year so she has been living with her dad for a while.

Previously, Angela went to private schools but ever since the divorce, her dad wanted to send her to a public school in the community they were now living in called Degrassi. It wasn't really Angela's choice, but she was a go with the flow type of person so to speak.

Anyway...it all happened like this.

Angela woke up somewhat early that morning to get started on picking out her clothes since this was a new routine for her from her previous years of wearing basically the same thing everyday because you know...private school...uniforms and all that jazz.

Angela's signature look though, while out of school was her gray t-shirt, jeans, black Vans, and her light red beanie which was what she decided to wear that day.

Angela's dad, Todd had yelled up to her, "Angela it's almost time to go!" So Angela quickly threw on her clothes, ate breakfast, brushed her teeth, put on some makeup, got her supplies and lunch together and was ready to go.

Once Todd was ready, they both headed toward the car. "Forgetting something?" Todd asked. "I don't think I am" replied Angela. "Ok then I guess we can go, it only takes about fifteen minutes to get there anyway." said Todd.

After ten minutes had gone by, Todd exclaimed "Only five more minutes, honey!" Angela replied with a "Do I really have to go here, is there not a private school in the area?" Todd sighed and all he said was "No honey, I'm afraid not, but I think this is what is best for you for now, plus it's a new experience." "Yeah, an experience that's happened twice in a year already and now it's going to happen again" groaned Angela.

"Well, we're here so try and be excited, for me Ang" replied Todd. "Whatever" Angela mumbled under her breath.

The bell rang as they were exchanging their final words. "Well, looks like it's time for you to go, enjoy your first day" exclaimed Todd. "Thanks I guess" replied Angela.

As she closed the car door, a swarm of students came running to the door to get to class on time. Angela took a deep breath and started up the stairs. "Here we go again" she thought to herself. When she walked through the doors of Degrassi Community School, it was like she expected. It wasn't strict like she was used to at her previous private schools.
