"it's kinda hard to say, my baby
when you're in pain, my baby
when your life is breaking down and it's out of your control..."

ੈ✩‧₊˚"The evening star is shining bright... So make a wish and hold on tight— there's magic in the air tonight, and anything can happen."
I munched on my fruit snacks while the movie started playing. I got comfy and got under my covers, leaving only my eyes to be seen. The Princess and the Frog has slowly grown over time to be my favorite, when I was younger I used to hate it, but as I got older I realized how good it was.
"There is no way in this whole wide world, I would ever, ever, ever I mean, never kiss a frog— yuck." I mumbled one of my favorite parts as it came up on the screen. I smiled slightly after, seeing as though this movie brought me happiness.
As the movie continued, I was about an hour in and slowly falling asleep, when there was a knock on my door. I didn't respond knowing they'd just walk in regardless.
"Hey bug," Laila spoke while smiling at me as if she wanted something. She even used my nickname. Her ass was definitely up to something.
"Yes Lala?" I replied, barely giving her attention.
"Here you go," She smiled before setting my medicine and water next to me. I downed the medicine and the water, before going back to the movie, dismissing her. But she stood there, I guess waiting for me to acknowledge her again.
I huffed, looking away from the movie. "Yes Lala?"
"Get ready please."
"Nooooo." I whined, I didn't even know where we were going. I just knew I didn't want to go. I was comfortable and I was happy.
"You're whinin' and don't even know where I'm takin' you." She deadpanned causing me to stop and listen to what she was saying. "The school just called—"
That alone made me groan, grab my pillow, and put it over my head.
"Bug I'm serious. I let you have a week and a half off because of the Sherri situation, but now I need you to go back. They just called, and I've only had you here for seven days I don't want them to call them people on me already." She rolled her eyes before peeling my covers off of me.
I sighed and looked up at her, softening my voice. "Right now?"
"Right now."
"Really?"
"Really."
"Are you sure?"
"Anala get up." Laila dropped the covers on my face before leaving my room, closing the door softly behind her.
I huffed pushing the covers out my way—stupid ass school with some equally stupid ass rules. That pissed me clean off. I sluggishly got up to do my hygiene shit, and I took my time, why rush when I'm already late?
When I finished, I threw on a random cropped black jacket some black flared leggings, and some crocs. My hair was in its natural state and it honestly looked good so I left it alone.
I walked downstairs and Laila was watching TV, waiting on me I guess. My stomach growled as I approached her. "Can we go get something to eat before we go?"
"Yeah, what you want?" she replied, standing up and grabbing her purse. She was already heading for the door before I could even decide.
"I don't know. Probably just a hash brown and orange juice. Oh, and can you get 'Sani the same, but with a sausage biscuit, you know she stay hungry." I smiled at the thought of Isani. Honestly, she was the only reason I bothered going to school most days, even if I didn't go often.
