Phil Coulson had long learnt that there were many mysteries in the universe like the fact anyone could think that Captain America wasn't completely awesome was a big mystery or how when you go looking for something it disappears until the moment you go searching for something else then it reappears and the other thing is lost.

But at that moment in time the three biggest mysteries in the universe was how did Jo Smith ever get to become a shield agent, why did she think that dropping thousands of cookies on a Hydra base was a good idea and how she managed to get others to think it was a good idea too.

He hoped to solve at least two out of those three mysteries very shortly once he found out where on the base Jo was hiding.

He should have known that Jo was hiding in the last place he'd go near, his very big pile of paperwork which was why it took him five hours to find her.

"Hey Coulson," Jo said, giving him her most 'I am totally innocent' look. "I was just about to come find you by just about to I meant like in a hundred years".

Coulson was weighing up the best approach for getting answers from Jo, the straight out asking what the hell happened or build up to it.

"Why on Earth did you think dropping cookies on a Hydra base was a good idea? and how did you get the others to agree?," option one seemed to be the quickest route.

"It seemed like a good idea" Jo told him like it was the most obvious thing in world. "And May wanted rid of the cookies because the boxes are cluttering up the base and no one likes them because they taste gross".

"So we have the stupid reason as to why so how about just exactly you managed convince others to go along with it?,"

"I got Hunter drunk, told Fitz and Simmons that it was an experiment, May ordered Skye to do it because you'd less harsh on us if Skye was involved and because basically I was driving her nuts"

Coulson looked at Jo for a second trying to assess if she was telling the truth or not. Once he decided she was he went in search for May for the explanation on why she didn't stop Jo.
