Shenanigans of Sloosemav + Carole, Ice, and Bradley

The Balancing Act

   Carole was suspicious of the silence that filled her house. With having a four-year-old on the loose, and Goose's best friend who soon became family to all of them. The silence was never a good thing. Especially when Slider is at the house. Knowing that information makes you alert at all times. It's a miracle how Ice stood all that chaos from being with Slider all the time. As Carole walks through her house, she is immediately aware of rustling in the kitchen.

She looks to her right to see Ice out in the back garden with Bradley, keeping him occupied with dirt, or spraying him with the hose. Her attention is now on the scene in front of her. And what she sees makes her thankful that neither Slider nor Maverick live together. Goose and Slider have stacked the stools from the kitchen island on top of one another and are supporting the structure, so Maverick doesn’t fall and crack his head open.

As Mav is about to reach the cookie jar she specifically stored up there so neither he nor Bradley could reach it, she coughs just loud enough to tell them that they’ve been caught. She then witnesses Slider grab Maverick by the waist, who now has the cookie jar safely in his hands, and yell to Goose, “Save Yourself‼” He then runs into the backyard, and sets Mav down next to Ice and Bradley, and then sits next to him. All the while Goose is staring at Carole like a deer in the headlights.

He starts, “So..”

“You are very lucky that Bradley didn’t see that, what would have happened if he did? You know how he is with copying people, especially Maverick!” Carole states clearly, but not loud enough so the people in the backyard can hear with a window open.

As Carole is lecturing Goose on the safety of people, outside in the backyard where Ice, Bradley and now Slider and Maverick are. Ice asks, “So, did you just leave him there so you two wouldn’t get the brunt of it?”

“You don’t want to witness Carole get angry.”

“It’s frightening to see.” Mav and Slider answer Ice’s question on after the other.

Ice watches Bradley grab a bug off the ground and show it to Slider who says, ‘cool bug!’

“Then I guess that means leaving Goose for the mother hen?”

“Yes, Ice. Oo! What should Bradley’s callsign be if he becomes a pilot?” Mav says with such enthusiasm that Slider looks at him slightly confused.

“How about Mav 2.0? Since he likes to copy you constantly.”

“Nah, the Navy would probably not allow him in.”

“How about Rooster?”

Both Ice and Maverick look at Slider as he says it. They then look at each other and go, “Yea, that works.”

Bradley is now showing a worm to Goose and Carole, who have now just stepped outside, with a big grin on his face. As all the grown ups watch him in the backyard, Bradley swears with a polish curse word.

Both Goose and Carole look at Ice, who says the exact same thing and runs for his life away from an angry hen, and a Goose who is chasing said hen.
