It was a normal day for everyone and it was the same for you. There you stood in front of the same old highschool you have been enrolled in for 6 years, a senior high student you are but still, things never change.

You're waiting for your friend who's running quite late compared to her usual early bird schedule. It's like a switch has been flipped and you became the early one instead, you found yourself promising that you should start becoming an early bird too. It's a late promise but whatever.

"Over here!" You turned towards Chiyaki's voice and saw her excitedly waving her hand and jumping for you to spot her well. She's quite short but that's alright, she's still your adorable friend who seems to have gotten a bit tan after the summer vacation.

Her family went to the beach before school as one last occasion, she told you she stayed there for the rest of the day, which explains everything. Not sure about her tan still retaining until now though. Still she suited the look, it may have gained her some attention from boys and some girls. Too bad for them though she isn't interested at all and just went on with her life like she always does.

Without any moment to waste you walked towards her, swerving away from the students who went the opposite direction. You were about to meet your friend half way when you suddenly bumped to someone. Forcefully you almost stumbled back.

You furrowed your eyebrows, you're already avoiding bumping and the person had the audacity to get in the way. You raised your head, curse the man for being tall that you have to strain your head. You met a pair of Grey colored eyes and you immediately recognized him.

Sou Matsumoto, the student council president for years. Someone who went undefeated with the overwhelming support he received from every students every time he ran for the position. The school's top notcher who placed first in the national exam and well, naturally, the school's campus heartthrob.

And the man you hated the most.

You immediately stepped back, trying to not scowl and recoil in disgust at the mere view of his face and the fact that he almost appeared out of nowhere. It wasn't helping either that people are whispering and possibly talking bad about you now. For what? Bumping with him?

"...." The man stood there with no words and you hated the way he looked at you. He was looking down at you with a silent stare, as if mocking you. It made you boil, more reasons to hate him.

This is the first time you've become this close with him considering how he's always surrounded by his supporters. You haven't even talked with him and yet something about him made you hate him with a burning passion.

For whatever reason there is, you hated him the moment he appeared in that podium, the moment he steps up the stage, the moment he steps in the view. You hated him from the start with no concrete reasons, just your gut feeling.

But that can't be it right? It's impossible to hate a person just by seeing them often from afar.

So you thought, maybe it was because the fact he always looks as if he's bored, as if he's not struggling nor stressed with anything despite being the top notcher. As a person who struggled and spent endless sleepless nights only to never achieve your goal, he became the man you hated the most.

Yes, that's your reason. It was because it's unfair and he made you feel less without even doing anything. He's that person who parents would compare you too, the dream child everyone wanted to be.

Perhaps it's envy or jealousy, maybe both. If only he showed at least one sign of struggle then you wouldn't have hated him as much. He was just too good, a bit perfect like others use to describe him. He was your opposite and the fact he always acts like he's above everyone pisses you off to no end.
