An Unusual Time at Ninjago High School

The Temple of Fragile Foundations

Melody POV

We sit in the back of the vehicle as Lloyd and Garmadon drove it higher and higher until it was the cloud height. I could see that Garmadon was teaching Lloyd how to drive, even though I knew that he drove mechs before.

"So Garmadon's good now?" I ask the others. 

"Yeah," Kai replied. "I've got to admit, he's quite fascinating when he's not trying to conquer Ninjago." "Affirmative," Zane agreed.

"I can't believe how things in my life changed," I said. "From a new kid in an unusual school to a new member of a secret ninja group. Speaking of it, when am I going to get my ninja suit and mech?" "We don't know," Cole said. "You'll have to ask Master Wu about that. Too bad he's gone. But I'm thinking that you'll get them soon."

"I hope so," I said. "I still don't really know how to fight," "Then how come you..." Jay said but was cut off when the whole vehicle begins to shoot forward very fast, like as fast as lightning. We held on tight as it did. "Wahoooo!" Kai shouted. 

"Yeah!" Nya shouted.

"Wooooo!" Cole yelled.

"AAAAARGHHH!!" Garmadon screamed. "Okay, that's enough! That's too fast!" So Lloyd slows the vehicle down.

"You didn't like that?" Lloyd asked.

"I mean, I liked it." Garmadon replied. "If I was driving, I'd be fine with it." "Sure, sure. I felt a little scared." Lloyd said. "Were you scared?" "Uh, yeah!" Garmadon replied. "I'm not gonna lie, I might need a change of armour." Lloyd laughs. 

"So what you were saying, Jay?" I asked. 

"I was asking about you fighting those fired generals back there," Jay replied. "How did you do it?" "Well, I just defended myself," I replied. "Its just a simple kick punch shove I learned in the school I moved out of. I had to defend myself from some bullies, like I had to defend myself from those fired generals." "Oh," Jay said. "I still don't get it how could you get power from a flower," "Me..." I replied, but was interrupted by Garmadon.

He was suddenly yelling. "GOAT!" We looked at the front and saw a goat on a mountain in front of us, touching the clouds. What was the goat doing here? The goat screams as Lloyd approaches.

"Goat goat goat goat goat!" Garmadon yelled. "Aaargh!"

Lloyd swerves the vehicle but crashes into the mountain. The vehicle spins and drops out of the sky. It skids across the ground and was about to fall off a cliff. We quickly jump off as it fall. "Is everyone okay?" Lloyd asked.

"Not really."Jay replied. "But i think we're here," We look up and saw that Jay was right. There was a path leading up to a temple. We gasped. It looks haunted.

"Behold."Garmadon said. "The Temple of Fragile Foundations." We scream as the ground shakes.

"The helicopter crash destabilised the entire area." Garmadon said. "And I'm not blaming anyone, but if I ever see that goat again, he and I are going to have words. And you can bet some of those words are going to have four letters, and I'm not talking about goat." "Give us the first letter." Nya said, as we start to climb our way to the temple. 

"This is my new least favourite place I've ever been." Jay said. We finally got to the entrance, and Garmadon said, "I've spent a lot of time here. And trust me. Doesn't get any better." "Wait a minute." Lloyd said. "So... you know this place?"

"Who doesn't know..." Garmadon began, kicking the dust off the welcoming mat in front of us. It reads 'The Garmadons,".

"...their childhood home?" Garmadon finished. We all gasped. "I didn't know your childhood home was the Temple of Fragile Foundations," I said.
